Great game. Definitely recommended for time-wasters and for people that just don't have anything to do with their lives at all. (limited time to live) Also is only game where you pay 50m in-game currency for a pair of shoes.

The game is really so simple that even a child could understand how to play this thing:

Mash buttons together, make skill chains, see some cool animations and destroy the bad guys.

After that, open up your inventory and equip\see something that dropped from somebody's pocket for some reason.(videogame logic)

Open up your character window to see how strong you are and after that go to the nearest wall-e robot and attempt to level up your gear level, or just craft\salvage something. Yes, "attempt". That is, if you have the super hard to find fuel to power up the little dude to give you a CHANCE to level up\level down your gear. (dont let this discourage you from playing the game, it's not that necessary to level up some gear just for 2.50% Physical Damage or something)

Find out that you don't have (enough) X to do what you want\need, then go to the black market (yes, black market.) and spend life savings\sell your organs for those boots that have S Rank Additional Physical Damage 3% and S Rank Skill Cooldown Reduction 3%. Or if you don't have enough money for that (you don't have enough money for that) you can just buy some fuel for the gear level up machine or just something that you need (unsure of what you actually need to buy).

Go talk to some girl or something... I don't know, do you really need talk to other characters to see their dialogue, or do you need to extend your play time by a few hours? You can replay a quest dialogue via a menu at any given time.

(note: never once have I skipped the dialogue of my character's story, just saying that if you'd like you can just skip the conversation to the last line and finish it. This even works within sectors that have characters talking, so if you're repeating the mission, you can just skip the dialogue and jump head first into whatever you're going to do.)

Then after doing all of that, you repeat these steps a few (hundred?) times, and bam. You're pretty much max level, learned almost everything there is to do in the game and you find out that you've just wasted your time playing it.

Real review:

In my defense this was the first time I've ever played this type of game, and I gotta say, it's pretty sad to say that this game is almost as dead as its multiplayer queue for most sectors, because you only get to see a moderate amount of people in the endgame hubs\near endgame areas.

They also offer free garbage for you to claim via events\level up events so you don't have to spend a single dime on this complete waste of time. All you need to do is log in for 12 consecutive days to get that one item you need. (if you even need it, that is... Or is the real reason behind you logging in for those 12 consecutive days is to get that "sweet mokkori bikini set" for that one female character you like...? Say goodbye to your character's dignity, perv! :yurirun:)

Developers are generous and may give you some rare garbage as reward, or even Elite subscription token(s) for a limited time. The elite subscription gives you a few small benefits and even gives you 2 extra reward slots so that you can get more trash to sell on the black market dirt cheap so you can finally buy those damned boots that give you stats with stat numbers so small and insignificant that it almost doesn't make any difference if you buy them or not.

Completing story missions\repeatable missions\side quests also give you items most of the time and EXP. You can live off that as well, leveling up your character by completing missions and doing missions you actually want for EXP. (I really don't see much difference on chore vs desire to farm for resources\money.)

The game is ridiculously easy (early\middle game) in a way that if your COMBAT RATING is higher than the recommended amount you can easily defeat the dudelets with no sweat whatsoever.

The CLOSERS (characters you play as) are all different classes. The girl with the akimbo tonfas is a mix of a heavy hitter with small ranged attacks and support (support because the character has 1 skill that when your character levels up, it affects your whole squad).

The guy with the yellow sunglasses is fighter guy.
The white girl with the scythe is a sorry excuse to make a character with breasts so big that she puts her hands on top of them IN THE CHARACTER PORTRAIT.
The little girl with the assault rifle is (you guessed it) a ranged character, and so on.
You get the message, right? Multiple characters, with different stories and different (I have only played with one character as of the time I'm writing this review) playstyles.

It is really fun to combine moves to take care of the bad guys in fast ways to get that 0:50 second finish after instakilling the boss because you're way too overpowered to be playing in that sector and because you absolutely memorized the spawn locations of the enemies and you know that if you press a skill button before the boss appears, you can get rid of the enemies that are spawning and\or just deal damage to the boss before they even go to their alerted state.

The enemies are very VERY interesting in this game because they have attack indicators when they are about to attack, and that's not even counting the animations AND the boss attack indicators. A large red line\circle\marked area will appear in the direction where an enemy's attack will be landing. For example, when a Brigade Scout (yes, there are human\robot enemies) is going to fire their rifle, a long red line will appear on the floor, depicting where his projectiles will be going, not even counting the animation that will play. You can even dodge attacks with perfect timing to to nullify damage taken and get an invulnerability frame for 1 second or so, freezing time for 0.50 seconds (I think...?) and moving out of harm's way.

The game features a soundtrack so kickass that you need to listen to it yourself to see what I mean. It's worth playing JUST for the soundtrack alone, too.

Yes, there are endgame sectors\dungeons\areas, but you need to be high level to access them, and you only get access to the CHIP game mechanic when your Closer reaches level 85.

And YES. The game IS Free-To-Play. You can buy clothes off the black market if you sell enough of your plasma\semen or if you donate most of your non-vital organs (you will have nothing left after buying the clothes you want, and almost all organs are vital.) And I'll tell you this: most (90%, I would say) girl costumes show more than enough skin. There's really not that many clothes that are appropriate for, you know, actually WEARING in public. If you're going to play for the "fanservice" I guess that's fine by you.

I know that I talked crap about this game for 100% of the review, but take some of these opinions with a grain of salt. This is my experience, and if you would like to try the game out for yourself, go right ahead, I'm sure you will enjoy it for the first hundred\300 hours, but in my opinion there might not be that much playtime above 1000 hours.

Alright, I know I'm gonna get crucified for giving this game a positive review and stuff, but hear me out on this, it's a summary of what the game has to offer.

-----
Ups:
-----

1. Wide variety of vehicles (a lot, to be honest. they also have more than 3 skins most of the time. an example would be the Scimitar)

2. Fun gameplay (at least for me)
-----------------------------------
From 9 gamemodes to 10 made it a slightly better game, of course.

Race - it's probably the reason why the game exists. The tracks aren't exactly as bad as people say, in my opinion. Only select few are just really, REALLY terrible, like hairpin turns after speeding up to 180 MPH, and quite a lot of zig-zagging sometimes. It's the most "enjoyable" mode in the game. Pretty fun, and can be finished in under 2-3 hours, I think. With 1 lap per race event.

Splatout is okay - run over zombies, get the highest combo multiplier and proceed to the next level. It lags a lot on my laptop.

Offroad is nice - when you can finally use the vehicles you've unlocked from previous gamemodes, you can use vehicles such as the Calyx T1 (Formula 1 car), miscellaneous vehicles, and monster trucks and try to get better lap times.

Speed mode is okay-ish. Not really bad but it's acceptable. Seeing the other race cars crashing into one another can sometimes be amusing. Also it's a bit hard to finish all of the levels.

Battle Arena - Derby mode with 8 or more opponents, with the bad damage detection and RNG values, it makes both Battle Arena and Big Battle hard to complete. The AI might constantly target you most of the time, but you can avoid this by driving in circles, as mentioned in another review. Also the scoring system only counts your TRUE victory if you place number ONE in the leaderboard. You might see that it displays a 0 instead of a 1, and while I'm not entirely sure why that happens, when you finish all of the Battle Arena events in first place, you unlock a one of a kind vehicle. I think this also applies to the Big Battle gamemode. Fun modes, regardless of these problems. For me, of course.

Big Battle - 24 player destruction derby with the same rules as the Battle Arena gamemode.

Challenge - terribly difficult (sometimes), random events with random vehicles (you can't choose your own vehicle) and random opponents.

Stuntman is the second hardest gamemode - since the physics are really bad, sometimes you can't just drag your ragdoll to the place you REALLY want it to go properly, you'll most of the time find out that you needed to move it downwards/upwards a little more. It's kinda hard to explain but I think it's something with the field of view. Also the physics too.

Nightshift - while Monstertrucks has its own degree of difficulty, Stuntman has the crappy physics and Challenge mode is just russian roulette but with more than 1 bullet, Nightshift is in a league of its own. The track is slippery, it's raining, every single level is set at night (I think), and you need to win the race in 1ST place to actually win the event. You have to pretty much do the entire RACE challenge BUT with slippery tracks and agaisnt one opponent. With a lot of fog/smoke. And by a lot I mean a LOT.

Monstertrucks - nightmare. At least for me. Some of the levels are nerve-rackingly hard, and with low framerate it makes it a nightmare to do stuff such as hit 40 barrels. You can make things slightly easier by using the Alarma car, since it's one of the cars with the best handling in the game.
==================================

3. Hard to beat AI, especially in specific gamemodes and when you're using a specific vehicle.

4. Customizable options - You can change the amount of laps from 1, to 3 and 5, choose vehicle class restriction (for the AI), example would be for the AI not to use Muscle class cars. Damage multiplier, which can be cranked up to x2.00, which should've been the default value, in all honesty. People say the damage model doesn't exist, but it don't think this option existed in the 1.0.0.0 version. You can also change the physics from Default, to Classic (I think this should've also been the default choice) and Turbo. Boost healing (when you use the boost, your car repairs damage), and AI difficulty. Also you can change the amount of AI opponents, which really helps you out if your frames are absolutely poop.

5. Fun game - while it isn't the best Flatout title, you CAN do some seriosly awesome stuff like jump on a ramp, do a front/back flip and land on your wheels (you have no control of the vehicle while in the air), do a really smooth turn while braking/handbraking at just the right moment to get a satisfiying turn while not hitting any walls. And you can also play the game normally, race, turn around the corner, break some objects to get the Special bar filled in order to gain invulnerabilty and multiplied damage (near instant opponent vehicle crash on contact with your car, it can sometimes not destroy your opponent, too) and use it just at the right moment when you screw up a turn and an opponent is ready to smack you in the rear. Really, it's awesome and fun.

6. High variety of vehicles, ranging from Supercars, to tuned sports cars and classic cars such as the Cadillac. Of course, they're almost exactly the same in terms of statistics, but they're still good looking vehicles nonetheless. I think there's at least 48 or more vehicles in the game. Didn't know there was a "Bonecracker" until I had the latest version.

7. You can unlock gamemode vehicles for all other gamemodes once you finish all of their events - meaning that you can use the offroad vehicles in any mode once you finish all of the events, same for the Derby, Speed, Monstertrucks, Race and Stuntman. (not sure if Splatout vehicles are unlocked once you finish all of the events)

8. Nice graphics - although some compare the game's graphics to Playstation 2 era videogames (I agree), they are still really high, despite turning them down to the minimal, meaning that the game actually looks really well, and even has world reflection, I think.

9. Special vehicles are unlocked when you finish some gamemodes - you can get a Double Decker London bus, a hybrid Supercar with insane handling, a Tractor, and a few more special vehicles, that you can use in any event you want. It's fun.

--------
Downs:
--------

Performance issues when comparing to previous versions (at least on my laptop), freezing when there shouldn't really be any freezing, and of course bad optimization, as expected.

Despite the game description, the physics aren't equivalent to our world's as double decker buses can run on walls, a vehicle can be sent flying in weird angles in very rare occasions, and collisions on walls might make your vehicle just straight up die.

Damage detection and generator - the damage you give and take is pretty much random. According to many reviews can indeed be goin 180 MPH then hit a car on its front end, and still give it 2-10% damage, which is unnacceptable. Although this problem still remains, despite the game not being updated anymore, you can ignore it, well, sometimes.

AI that will sometimes relentlessly chase down the player in Battle Arena and Big Battle gamemodes, making it hard to score points, and sometimes in races, the AI can aim to take you down, which really sucks. Also they can get turn around corners WAY BETTER than the player, which makes them unfair opponents, especially when they successfully turn while at high speeds and you're lagging behind. Of course, sometimes they will be unsuccessful, and slow down/hit a solid object. (wall)

Summary:

In my opinion, there are more Pros than Cons, but you can easily remove the Pros because of the AI problems, optimization, and graphics.

In short, it's a poor man's:

Burnout Paradise, along with Stuntman: Ignition, Flatout and with a bit of Dangerous Driving into the mix. It's not a terrible game, but it could've been better.

metamod + sourcemod + l4d1 = chaos, fun, people that connect across the globe including people from japan, bad ping when you locally host the server, little to absolutely no sourcemod and metamod support while having the server being dedicated or official dedicated, a plugin that can create a plane crash animation with sounds and everything at your crosshair, a plugin that adds the beta unused animations for the weapons that makes them feel a thousand times better, and more... much much more. deserves way more recognition. l4d2 gives me a black screen and crashes my system, not sure why.

But hey, I gotta say... Way less guns, less special infected, less maps, only 4 survivors, no specific mechanics, no one man cheeseburger apocalypse and no Leaker and Boomette. Doesn't matter. Game is a masterpiece and is extremely fun, and in my honest opinion:

This game is better than Left 4 Dead 2.

Spent over two hours and a half just downloading the game itself. The time I have registered into the game was me updating the game via the launcher for 3 hours straight. Eventually gave up when it was at 33.7%, and now I just noticed that the progress has been reset and I have to probably wait about 9 hours to download the updates. Why the game doesn't contain the updates via downloading the game from Steam? I don't know. Just thought that this would be an interesting alternative to Call of Duty: Online, and it really is.

Pretty great game, just don't recommend it if you have bad internet. Spent hours on end just downloading the updates from the launcher.

But try the game yourself, it seems pretty fun, wish I could play it though.

okay so I though that I could run it, turns out I seriously can't.

fps is below 14, but hey, the game's pretty cool and stuff.

I'm suprised that I could even get to the part that you play, and be able to look around with a 1.5 second delay.

so yeah, the game's pretty cool, if you're reading this at this after 08/31/2018 or something like that, Humble Bundle's free keys thingy is over.

Also, it would be nice if somebody could tell me if there's a way to play the game on 640x480 or below resolution, if there is, please tell me, I seriously couldn't find a way to get the resolution below that.

The best Half-Life modifcation of all time.
Download Low Definition packs, make content for the game, look at how stupid people are when they kill Zombie Grunts with the Phyton instead of the SPAS-12, yell at people for not going down or up on the ladders, PAINFULLY WATCH PEOPLE SHOOTING THE APACHE WITH EVERY POSSIBLE WEAPON BUT NOT EXPLOSIVES, KILL YOURSELF BECAUSE PEOPLE USE EVERY SINGLE WEAPON BUT NOT EXPLOSIVES ON THE GARGANTUA. DIE EXPLAINING PEOPLE THAT NPC IS FRIENDLY.
END YOUR OWN LIFE BY SEEING THEM SHOOTING FRIENDLY TEAMATES. THE FASTEST WAY TO KILL YOURSELF IS BY PLAYING THIS GAME.

I played Team Fortress Classic for the first time in 2013, it wasnt my game, it was awful for me, couldn't stand a chance agaisnt scouts, I was really really bad at the game. But now, after 8 months of not playing it, I understand that this is a huge game with lots of things to do, and guess what? You need skill. How much skill? Lots, lots of skill, the first class I played as was as the Scout, it was fun to mess around and die in 1 hit by a direct rocket hit, hehe, but then I got serious in the game, started playing it like a competitive game, and then, I got good at it, I played lots of matches, some were versus bots and some with veterans, then, I started playing with the most ''useless'' classes that people think that are really bad and that people should never play with them, played as demoman, got a 4 kill streak once, played as pyro, killed the entire opposing team in a match, and they say that the game is dead, bad, unbalanced, not fun, not worth buying, those people are wrong, very very wrong, this game is worth all of your time and your money. Buy it, you will not regret this massively fast paced first person shooter.

Player name: Johneehboi, you can find me playing on medium populated servers such as Twisted Dustbowl and some others.

Many thanks to the Steam user ''Tom Fortress Classic'' for giving me this game as a gift, thank you very much.

I... I really enjoy this game, it's fun to play and stuff, but there is one thing that some people dosent like.

PERMA-DEATH. Perma death in this game is the worst thing ever and you will regret not dying, right?

-Buys Semi Tractor after getting enough money
-Tries to go to a scout with it
-Forgots that it only has 10 armour each side
-Driver gets stunned and almost died
-Calls for help
-Ok, a guy is trying to help me after my driver almost died.
-(Engine is at 8%)
-Guy that tried to kill the vehicle that got stuck inside my semi tries to be badass and kill it.
-Realizes that the shots hit my semi and not the enemy vehicle
-(''Massive concussion hit Samuel'')
-(''Medium damage to engine'')
-(''Engine destroyed!'')
-(''Shot passes through Samuel's kidney'')
-(''Samuel takes a blast to the stomach'')
-(''Samuel has DIED!'')
- me: ...
- guy that shot my semi and killed my character : sh1t
- guy that shot my semi and killed my character : sh1t sorry
-After some moments of silence and realizing that ''Clocky'' didnt press the ''Ready'' button guy that shot my semi says: ap
- guy that shot my semi and killed my character : ap clocky
- *rubs tears off*
- im done with this game.

-After getting sad that i didnt had any vehicles left i had a idea of trying to order a new Semi.
-Orders semi
-Semi is 381 miles away from me
-I have no vehicles
-Buys one vehicle
-Fails trying to get to semi
-Buys another vehicle
-Op encounter that ran out of ammo didnt stop following me.
-I had to give up.
-Le surrender
-Talks to someone named ashlee
-Says that Semi is busted
-Says if can get the semi for me
-Says that is going to give 20k if get the semi to me
-Ashlee says k
-Goes to sleep
-(1 day later)
-Asks Ashlee to see if got my semi
-Ashlee says that didnt saw the semi on the market
-Notices that Ashlee is lying after a few moments of conversation
-Ashlee says that how could he get the semi if it had no engine
-Says that he could buy one
-Says to check my activities
-Nothing.
-Ignores me (Blocks me)
-Says childish stuff

Conclusion:

10/10 Would never play again.

Early Access Review
When i saw this game at the first time i found it fun cause i watched some videos of it.

My first vehicle (Robot) was a truck. I got to lvl 8 or 9 whit him, after some days playing whit truck i built a bus, spent all my money on armour and defense onto it, was the vehicle that i more cared about i got more kills and lvled up to lvl 12.
My last vehcile that i built was a S.U.V i really spent mutch money on her, i got to lvl 15 i think or lvl 16 idk i dont remember but whitnot her i would never get that Rail Gun!

[Found a guy almost dead whit just 2 blocks and 1 wheel, covered him, risked my life for him TO PROTECT HIM FROM A SNIPER THAT WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM, AFTER 9 SECS DEFENDING HIM I DID NOT NOTICED THAT HE MOVED THEN HE KILT THE GUY, too hard to make peace :c .

11/10 would do that again.
