A phenomenal idea executed almost perfectly, clearly made by and for fans of metal music. The soundtrack is full of absolute bangers that, together with the punchy, powerful sound design for the weapons, make for an incredibly rewarding/satisfying gameplay experience. The vocals coming in only when you reach the max combo multiplier is the icing on the cake.

Few minor gripes. None of the weapons come even close to the shotgun in terms of how satisfying they are to use. That, and all of the torment challenges I've played leant on the mindless side of too easy. Other than that, wholeheartedly recommended to any fellow metalheads. No disrespect to Mick Gordon's talents, but *this* is what I wanted out of the Doom remakes.
