I didn't buy it for the longest time because I knew I would get addicted... and I was right. You should also buy it.

I've been looking forward to the release of this demo since learning about it through Twitter, and I gotta say I was not disappointed. This is by far one of the best demos I have ever played. It's a great family-friendly and charming adventure with good pacing story-wise, a great sense of humour, and really enjoyable exploration and combat. It has plenty of secrets to find among other consumables and customization options for your main character Flynt. For a demo, it contained a good number of different abilities and enemies. If I had to nitpick, certain attacks were difficult to time the guards for and sometimes it felt inconsistent. I also think that some of the achievements for the demo feel a bit grindy when it comes to purchasing all the office decor. The demo can be completed much faster than I have played, but I have been trying to get the 100% so I have been backtracking and completing fights to earn more money. That being said, I can't remember the last time I wanted to try and find every secret in a demo.

Whether you've played Paper Mario or not, I absolutely recommend giving this demo a try! Personally, I have very limited experience with the Paper Mario franchise (my only experience being a bit of Super Paper Mario), but that definitely did not detract from my enjoyment. If anything, it makes me want to try those games once more. I cannot wait for the full game release and wish the team the best of luck.

There's a quack button 11/10

In all seriousness, Duck Detective is a prime example of short but sweet. It only took about 2.5 hours to 100% including a little idle time, but it was a very enjoyable, bug-free two hours that is well worth the asking price. The voice acting was an unexpected yet welcome feature - all the VAs did a good job of selling their characters. The game has a great sense of humour and a pretty solid story that is fun to piece together. I hope that we see more Duck Detective in the future so I can quack more cases!

Sweet and short experience with a great sense of humour and very catchy soundtrack!
If you're a fan of Super Meat Boy or any other fast paced platformer, definitely worth picking up on or off sale (it's a great deal either way). The game isn't long - took me just under an hour to 100% but there is still the hard mode that I've yet to fully try. None of the levels feel unfair and the game does a good job of introducing mechanics and then building on and combining them together!

Early Access Review
Peglin is a fun roguelike with lots of potential.

Like most games in this genre, RNG is a major factor and you will either find that you are speeding through encounters or getting demolished. Certain orbs and items are definitely standouts among the pack and I will choose them every time I see them, but there are still multiple items I haven't tried using yet. One main issue you will probably run into is getting rid of orbs you no longer want. It is possible but not consistent so be careful about what you choose.

As it stands, there is only 1 character to play as and 3 stages. It feels a bit limiting, but it is an early access game after all. Ulitmately, the game has very solid bones with a fun gameplay loop, and charming music and graphics. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Early Access Review
I have never left a review on Steam before but I think Foundation deserves one. As someone who is not accustomed to city-builders, I was initially a little intimidated to start learning the game but it is incredibly easy to get the hang of. I know for a fact that my first town is not running the most efficiently, but it is still thriving. I played a little before the UI update and this new change is a very welcome update. Foundation is a game that you can pour tons of time into without even realizing it. It has been incredibly relaxing to play. As you progress further into the game, prepare to start setting your own goals and making your own fun. The game has certain milestones and unlocks that set you on your path to building a successful city but after you reach those, growing your city does not always feel as rewarding. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the new content that the devs release over time!
