Developers worked with AMD for a fix to the white screen issue. Great game now that I can play!

Because you cannot connect to a game in multiplayer, it makes this game a SINGLE PLAYER ONLY title. There are a lot better single player shooter games out on Steam like the new Doom, Wolfenstein, etc than this game. Star Wars Battlefront on Origin is a great alternative to this game as you can play the multiplayer maps in solo mode if you like.

I would highly recommend that consumers stay far, far, far away from this game as the multiplayer does NOT connect to games. This game is dead in my opinion unless you can get it for less than $10. The single player seems competent enough for a $10 purchase.

Great game to play by yourself or with a team of friends. It makes you think and react at the same time. The setup time is extended into the game as the enemies will come in trickles that grow in ferocity. Just when you think you have it all under control a boss appears and all is lost. Or you've learned from your past mistakes and you just barely get past him by the skin of your teeth.

This build up, tension, reward system is played out over and over. As you play you will collect better and better gear to complete the next challenge. Each class has multiple skills to try so you never feel boxed into a certain way to complete a challenge. Also your moves mesh well with your friends to make the game even better in multiplayer.

In short this is one of the best games on Steam. It would be a travesty to not own it.

There is no other Rally game on the market that feels and drives like this one. I'll keep this review short by letting others detail how great it is. It is truly a great game and worth every penny!

Great game and port with a few issues.

Game runs really well so far. 60 fps all day everyday. Supposedly when you use tension moves the frame rate drops to 30. My eyes were too bugged out at the visuals to care. There are lots of graphics options in the menus. It's not a perfect port, but much better than most. I don't remember ever playing a Dragon Quest game; I remember seeing them at the importer for $200 growing up and purchasing something else. So I'll explain what the prologue plays like from a newcomer to the series.

The cutscenes are awesome. 60fps just like the rest of the game. I put on the English voices and they are really well done. Nothing cringeworthy so far; including the cute monster that helps you. The first negative is that you can't skip the cutscenes. So be prepared to watch a nice little enjoyable film with near perfect AA.

After the explanation of why the world has been taken over, you finally get to use your character. I chose the male warrior, but I think I will switch to the female to continue my playthrough as he seems to brag about planning every move too much for my tastes. Here is the second negative; there is no AA in the game as I can tell except for the cutscenes. So I went into AMD Crimson and tried to force it to no avail.

After going through the entire, "ARGGH I'm going to die without AA" writhing motions, I decided to play the game to see how it is. There are so many enemies to fight that I immediately forgot about a lack of AA. In short, cry on the forums about the AA, then have fun playing the game as it is fun as hell!

Also the game can't display above 1080p resolutions. I couldn't figure out how to get VSR to work and people on the Steam forums are crying about Nvidia's DSR not working. Personally I find the game so much fun that I could care less. And I'm the loudest SOB when it comes to bad ports. I don't think that this is a bad port at all. I want to play every Dragon Quest game now!

As far as the game play goes, it is freaking awesome to hit enemies with combo spin attacks. Jump into the air and plunge your sword into the hapless souls beneath you. Perform a 4 chain combo with a spinning fire blade attack at the end. Summon a tornado! Buy some gear at a vendor and collect ingredients from monsters. The game even tracks which monster dropped each ingredient and how many you have killed. The tooltips for stuff like Horse Manure are hilarious to me. It's a ton of fun I must admit. The ultimate moves are just beast mode. I'm loving the game.

Oh and you do need to block some attacks. I got flatlined in about 5 seconds by the tutorial dragon. Went back and blocked maybe 10% off the attacks, in conjunction of some spirited bunny hopping / running like a ♥♥♥♥♥ when my health hit critical, and I was able to best him on the second try. There are other lesser "big" mobs that have attacks that you need to watch out for.

I think it's worth the $60 price tag as I've never played something like it before.

Overall I highly recommend this game as it is 1000x more fun to play than watch on Twitch. I played the game with my Steam controller and I chose the first profile that I saw was popular. Game played perfectly fine with it. I have a XBOX 360 controller, but it hurts my hands so I'm weaning myself off of it. The game plays fine with a mouse and keyboard, but it displays XBOX controls. Maybe there is an option to change it, but I didn't look long before I bust out the Steam Controller. Also it recognizes mouse / keyboard and controller at the same time for seamless switching.

Everyone by now should know that Mad Max is an adventure RPG with a Batman / Shadows of Mordor combat system. What you may not know is that Mad Max is a terrific RPG where you have a ominous sense of self preservation at all costs within a futuristic wasteland.

The game thrusts you into the world and immediately sends goons to snuff you out. This theme of survival with the minimalist of weaponry prevades the game play from beginning to the end. At some point later when you have unlocked all of your fighting moves, you get a sense of power, but then the enemy difficulty is ramped up a notch also. So this balance of enemies vs Max's power evens out.

What does seem to become all powerful is Max's car weaponry. By the end of the game you're going to be grinning from ear to ear with all the horsepower and weaponry that you accumulate. Even then certain events are still challenging. A certain fired projectile becomes all powerful towards the end game, with this balanced by a limited weapon cache of them. This is broken because of the Quick Travel feature that automatically restocks your weaponry. So I learned to only Quick Travel to places that didn't restock me. Made the game more satisfying. :)

All the way to the game's end, I was eager to see what happens next; to trigger the next conversation so I could see more into Max's dark past. I'm not going to spoil the ending, but it is one helluva wild ride playing out the final 33 - 5 hours of the game. This is a game that you NEED to finish.

The only thing that didn't fully resonate with me as much was the scrap collecting aspect of the game. I wanted to 100% clear the map, but to do this it took an extreme amount of searching for banners and scrap locations within the camps. Then again it was satisfying to finally find the banner above your head in a dusty room. I think the game could have made it a little more obvious that it was there. Then again it was enough fun that I really wanted to 100% the game. :)

I still have some cars, scrap piles, and threat to lower in some regions for unlocks. So I may continue on my quest again in the near future. Right now I'm leaning towards starting another RPG. Avalanche Studios spoiled me so much. Thanks for the great game!

This game is amazing. The characters are memorable, cute, and have tons of flair. The game play is absolute perfection in it's mechanics, and the way that the levels become more frantic gets your blood pumping. You can tell that the developers loved working on this game. The soundtrack is so darn good. It fits the game like a glove and pumps you up even more for the next wave to spawn.

There are some games that become institutions where everyone knows it. One example would be Mario Bros. Another game worthy of such designation is Assault Android Cactus. It deserves every accolade it has garnered. This is a day one purchase for twin stick shooter fans. If you're a music fan skip the regular version and get the Soundtrack Edition. It's worth every penny!

First of all let me start off this review by stating the the game shipped broken and was never fixed. It always had a bad memory leak and certain missions would cause it to crash. But now since the Omega Drivers release from AMD and the subsequent upgrade to Windows 10 it is time to remove this game from Steam.

The game is completely broken. Under Win 8.1 and the AMD 14.2 drivers you could mostly play until the memory leak ended your fun. If you decide to run an older OS and even older drivers, you can have fun in the game. Really it's not a bad game and at times is quite fun! On a scale of 1 - 100 I would give it a solid 65 with the memory leak lowering the score to 57.

Under Windows 10 the game will actually start, but then the memory leak ends the fun after 5 minutes. Everyone is going to upgrade to Windows 10 for DX12 games. Thus this game is completely dead.

Please Valve remove this game from the Steam Store. There is no reason to leave abandoned games on your storefront. I wish Activision had allowed the original development team to patch the game, but alas that's the current state of PC development I suppose. Release, promote, and run.

This game is every bit as good as any Sonic the Hedgehog game.

Sometimes there are games that deserve special mention. Grim Dawn is one because it not only plays like a perfectly paced ARPG, but it is darn fun at the same time. It looks beautiful with it's morbid decay prevalent on enemies and an attention to detail that is second to none in the genre. Storm ravaged homes never looked this good before!

The skills in the game work. There is none of the Diablo III nerfs and buffs. If you put points into a skill it means that you can count upon it to destroy or save you. The multiplayer is awesome also because it isn't mandatory and you can host your buddies without worrying about some server in the middle of nowhere being overloaded.

Really the game is so much fun and I don't know anyone can pass upon it if the love ARPGs. This game is a keeper! Highly recommended!
