just update the game ffs

pretty fun game although seems really early on in development though, while I don't regret buying I probably wouldn't recommend in its current state, the silent hill dlc is great and all but it's so weird for a game that seems so dysfunctional and premature in it's current state, servers are laggy, the characters are unbalanced and the pvp is pretty stale and awkward to actually hit other players especially with the lag and really needs some better hit indicators and soft collision with other players. I'd say after a lot of work this game seems promising if the developers really care about the game. while the game is fun on it's own there's really no ulterior progression beyond collecting shards for things which isn't THAT great of a reward especially when you need a lot for things, could benefit immensely from some kind of level progression system outside of matches, the gameplay itself really lacks in any real diversity beyond map events and character powers (there's an extremely low skill ceiling) most pvp battles are decided on who used their ultimate first or who press M1 the fastest

design-wise the maps are great and the map events are really fun loved every single one, the monsters from the original dark deception are all really cool though I will say the glowstick entertainment "mortals" are kind of odd, and just kinda seem like the devs self inserts which I suppose is just me nitpicking but it does seem really bizarre

all in all the game really needs some work done, hopefully having the silent hill IP means this game is going to be supported enough for these changes, I just want to point out that this game literally has 2 dlcs and doesn't even have an option to lower game volume

TL;DR the game needs A LOT of work, but seems very promising if it succeeds but I couldn't recommend it in it's current state

long rant because im really upset that this could've been a much better game:

firstly: no push to talk.... the real horror of this game is joining a game and hearing people breathing over mic dogs and babies screaming ect really destroyed any kind of atmosphere this game had. secondly you have a 4 minute wait times for a game on average, not something I usually complain about but this game can literally last about 30 seconds if the killer is good and your teammates are not, the waiting time is sometimes 8 times longer than the actual game. 90% waiting time for about 10% actual playing

no penalty for leaving games at all, (people just join games and leave making it impossible to win), also no kick function that i've seen that does anything about people being afk. I got stuck in a game waiting 5 minutes for a guy who joined and just went afk while we all had to spectate

no rank system of any kind so you can get paired with teammates who are literally playing their first game and have no clue how to play, (these games usually last about 30 seconds up to 3 minutes depending on how sweaty the killer chooses to play, I don't personally blame people for not understanding the game but playing with teammates who are essentially bots against a killer that can kill survivors in about 10 seconds per person isn't fun at all, team games like this NEED a rank system, nobody wants a team of drooling noobs vs some killer main, playerbase is decreasing every single day (making waiting times even longer) i'd recommend playing with friends to make sure you actually have a teammate that knows how to bring back dead teammates and doesn't try to 1v1 killers with their fists

the online system as a whole seems like a poorly implemented feature, things like push to talk are an essential feature and these feature are just missing?.... this game has been out for longer than a year it's not an excuse

overall the game has potential if the devs really care, the artstyle, music, fun characters, really show a lot of potential but i'm sorry to say I could not recommend buying this game at this stage, it feels a lot like a beta game where the structure of a game is there but it's just not optimized at all, which would be fine but this game has been out an entire year now.

more than anything this just seems like a party game that was never really intended to be played online only with friends for fun, this is really obvious when you consider how weird it is that the killer can talk on voice chat with survivors (and yes I did play an entire game where the killer sat and mocked the survivors (who were obviously new to the game) the entire game with a nasty american accent and generally being a condescending prick for no reason, I really don't understand why you'd make it so the killer can talk to survivors during the game, Dead by daylight only allows killers to talk postgame, which makes a lot more sense in the nature of the game and makes it a lot scarier.

finally I think it's worth mentioning the bugs in this game which completely make it unplayable, first of all when I first installed this game I was waiting 30 minutes for a game until I discovered that sometimes you just get bugged searches and infinite wait screens, 1 in every 6 games will just get stuck on the "waiting for players" screen, I had a bug where because I was controlling the camera in spectate mode and got revived it disabled every single key besides movement (still in spectate mode while alive????) basically meaning all i could do was walk around and get killed, the punch/jump keys also didn't work, so I had to disconnect from a game which felt really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as I was essentially ditching them.

Overall I wouldn't recommend buying this game in it's current state, if you're not really sure i'd look up so gameplay on youtube and monitor how the games progressing because right now it's not worth the price

Don't believe the redemption stuff people are trying to push this game is still a boring holding down left click simulator, adding stuff that should have been there when the game was released isn't redemption it's just paying debts. First 2 seconds of playing this game while learning the controls a random storm triggered and instantly killed me, the game is just bad, isn't fun and barely works. If you're thinking about buying this because people are telling you it's good now as it has had updates and added multiplayer it really isn't. it's just a glorifyed cookie clicker game.

paid for the game and now it's free to play 10/10 would get scammed again
