Astray is a horror/puzzle game in first person. Set in a museum for the supernatural, you are tasked with finding your missing uncle. To do so, you must navigate through different museum exhibits, solving puzzles and carefully making your way through hazards. At the end of each exhibit you find a key. With all 3 keys in hand, you can then open a large, heavily locked door in the museum’s lobby, presumably where your uncle is kept.

THE GOOD

*The game has nice visual intregrity. Environments are nice.
*Ambience is spot on, and appropriate for each exhibit.
*It can be very dark, which is great for setting up the game’s tone.
*You can explore each exhibit in whatever order you choose.
*A flashlight assists you in the darker areas.


THE BAD

*With only 3 exhibits to explore, the game is very short.
*The puzzles can be extremely easy.
*Little to no replay value.
*The battery gauge recharges over time, so batteries found are somewhat useless.

Astray offers a unique experience for it’s price point. At such a low cost of entry, there isn’t much to lose, even if you don’t end up enjoying the experience. It’s definitely worth checking out at least once, simply for the unique setting it offers.

A true throwback to the era of text-based roguelike games, this title should satiate any need you have for text-based dungeon crawling and monster murder.

Gameplay: 7/10
You start off creating your character from a base class, begin ASCII customization of your appearance and information, watch the intro and you're off to scour the murky depths of a textual fantasy world. Why'd you milk that ghost? Why are you completely naked?! If you've ever played a text-based roguelike you'll be familiar with how the game executes and if not, be prepared for an immensely thorough and funny gaming experience.

Graphics: 6/10
You wouldn't think graphics in a text-based game could be much but... The ASCII art in this game is incredible for what it's medium is. Even the animation is awesome. The ability to accurately convey the art of the genre and actually be enthralling and interesting is amazing.

Sound: 10/10
Easily my favorite part about this game is the chiptune soundtrack. The music is plentiful and mixed. The sound effects are perfectly adapted and timed. There are so many rich and warm tunes it immerses you right into the game like you wouldn't believe. I hope they release the soundtrack for this game on Steam too.

Overall: 7/10
It might not be everyones cup of tea but to anyone that loves text adventures this is a must-have. If you can type, you can enjoy this game.

You should not pass this early access title by. The many pros outweigh the ♥♥♥♥, the few drawbacks being common of any sort of strategy game.

Pro:
1. Very colorful, fun graphics. Nice to look at.
2. System requirements are low, and it runs great.
3. The soundtrack is relaxing and interesting.
4. A good combination of many game genres.
5. It is easy to like the characters.
6. Excellent writing, with funny references that anyone will understand.
7. Innovative Gameplay
8. It will give steam achievments in the future
9. Less bugs
10. Great Dev team! They maybe add your ideas, too.
11. Fair price!!

The Not-So-Bad:
1. More voices would be great
2. The waving on the Start and Menu screens is a little distracting.

Overall, this is a great game that combines many different genres. It does not seem incomplete, but it would be nice if the Mims had voices, also. No gameplay issues! No crashing or bugs that I could see. Very good.

Ich spiele diese Pixelspiele ja eher nicht, und wenn nur aus Nostalgie gründen, oder wenn ich etwas empfohlen bekomme, aber zum glück habe ich hier eine ausnahme gemacht.
Da ich ein großer Fan von rundenbasierten RPG's bin, ist Pixel Heroes genau das was ich suche und gerne spiele. Es ist einfach ultra lustig und riesig. Mann muss sich erstmal 30-40 minuten reinarbeiten, aber dann kommt man nur sehr schwer von dem Spiel los.
Passt auf: Wenn alle 3 helden sterben, hilft auch kein neuladen des Spielstandes mehr. ^.^

Wer ein großes rundenbasiertes Spiel, mit sehr langanhaltendem Spielspaß, undzähligen Witzen, herrausforderden Gameplay und einer super Story sucht, und eher weniger Wert auf Grafik legt, derjenige kommt hier voll auf seine kosten.

Ein Spiel dass durch sein innovatives Gameplay besonders gut ankommt, denn es ist eben nicht verbraucht, wie soviele andere Indie Games und ist somit auch was für Spieler die sogut wie alles schon gesehen haben. Hier hat man sich große mühe gegeben und das Spiel wird nach angaben der Devs noch um viele Levels erweitert werden.

Das Spiel überzeugt durch seine größe, sein riesiges Tutorial, die Musik, und das upgrade System.
Anfangs wirkt es sehr eintönig und klein aber nein ganz im gegenteil, umso länger man sSpielt, umso mehr Tollz und alles mögliche wird freigeschaltet. Man kann es schon mit Plantz vs. Zombie vergleichen und es ist auch sehr sehr gut, aber es wird natürlich niemals ein Plantz vs. Zombie sein. Jedoch ein sehr sehr gutes Towerdefense Spiel. Das Tutorial ist größer als manches Tower Defense Spiel an sich. Man kann natürlich seine Plfanzenarmee, Slots und co. durch die im LEvel verdienten Dollar verbessern. Das Spiel wurde wie viele Spiele für Handys entwickelt, ist aber jedoch wie die meisten eine gelungene Pc Umsetzung.

Wer auf Plantz vs. Zombies oder Towerdefense allgemein steht, der sollte dieses Spiel für diesem kleinen Preis auf jedenfall kaufen. Es ist eines der besten Tower Defense Spiele die ich gespielt habe und ich habe so gut wie all!

Eine wirklich gutumgesetzte NEuauflage des Spieles "Micromachines". Gelungene Grafik, guter Soundtrack, und langanhaltender Spielspaß zeichnen dieses Spiel aus. Die Spielmodien sind ähnlich wie die in Micromachines, nur das es eben in einer weit aus höheren AUflösung ist, und das es jederzeit Onlinespielbar ist.

Ein wirklich klasse Spiel.

Wer ein relax Spiel mit Rollenspielcharakter sucht der ist hier genau richtig. Das Spiel bietet nicht nur eine klasse musik, eine süße Katze, und ein upgradesystem auf mehreren Ebenen. Nein, dieses Spiel ist auch noch günstig und zeitgleich ein wirkliches "Runterkomm spiel" grad nach einem anstrengendem shooter, ist das genau das richtige.

Absolut zu empfehlen.

Die Fehler mit dem Launcher sind ausgemerzt, auch ist kein Xbox Live mehr von nöten, daher sind die meisten negativbewertungen schlichtweg nicht mehr aktuell.

Positives:
Ein asolut faires f2p modell, denn man kann alles erspielen und das auch recht schnell.
Es gibt sehr viel zum looten, aufrüsten, leveln und designen.
Zudem gibt es viele viele Spielvarianten: Kämpfe gegen Bots (single und sp player9) Singleplayer, multi pvp, ein tutorial sowie multi pve.
Lustige bunte und schön animierte grafik.
Musik ist stimmig.
Aktive Community und volle Server.
Deutsche Sprachunterstützung.
Steam Achievments + Steamcloud.
Voller Kontroller Support!

Negatives:
Die Microsoftserver werden ständig erweitert und gepatcht um dem Ansturm gerecht zu werden, daher ist das spiel manchmal mehrere Std am Tag nicht erreichbar. Ist aber schon viel viel besser geworden.


Fazit:
Da es f2p ist empfehle ich jeden mal reinzugucken. Für manche wird es nur ein lustiges gelegenheitsspiel aber einige werden auch sehr lange spaß haben. Reinschauen lohnt sich auf alle Fälle.
