Sid Meiers Civ 5 is a drug used to treat wasting time in the real world. It accomplishes this by using a turn based system that always leaves you dissatisfied with your stop point, no matter where that may be. If you find yourself wondering, "Gee, I have so much free time. I sure wish there was a single game i could spend stupid amounts of time on." Then this is the game for you my friend.

Side effects include:One turnitis, Sleepless nights, Lowered job/school performance, sudden marital problems, faux historical knowledge, misunderstandings of how politics work, and tacking question marks onto the end of statements.



On a serious note: This game is a simple entry level 4X game. If youre new to the genre this is the place to start. Do not buy the base game; instead wait for a sale on the expnsion and DLC as it improves the game tenfold. Due to the long turn timers this game is best played while talking/texting a friend, watching TV, Surfing the web (especially if you're running dual moniters), or even playing a mobile game. I dont think there is any game i have personally played more and i wholeheartedly recommend it.
