For those 'on the fence' about this game, well here are some comments made from other players.

"I saw a guy chased by zombies and i helped him. I gave him food, water and bandage his wound. We traveled together and i protected him until he well equiped. Then i asked him if he want to head to devil castle. He said yes. Once we there, we went up to the tower and i axed him in the face. god, i love this game."

If you are still unsure if this is really the game for you and your friends to engage in then what about this review:

"The only game where a half naked dude runs at you yelling "Leroy Jenkins" then knocks you unconscious with a baseball bat and steals all you loot.

UPDATE - Nov.2018, with the current build it is finally getting to be what we all waited for.

This sums it up..."Overall, we’ve played worse games. I know, cop-out right? But in all honesty Red River tries to fill in a niche somewhere between the fast-paced action of COD/BF, and the hyper-realism of ArmA. We think it’s better than Dragon Rising, and the fact they’ve taken the “less is more” approach and focused on a couple of key features has been to their credit. It’s got some good moments in it, but playing with friends is key and we question the longevity of this title, so the post-release DLC better be good and regular. Worth checking out, but maybe try and get it cheap if you’re counting the pennies."
This game does shine when playing with your friends and DLC is on the way. I recommend it for its coop play...Happy Fraggin'

Update: This game is not really worth the current price. I would mark it on your wishlist and wait for it to be on sale. The DLC is ok but not required.
The game is fun as single player but more enjoyable as a coop experience.
You can replay the Campaign missions also seperately once completed in the Campaign.

More of a 'on sale' item now.
