Spent a lot of time waiting for the game to patch after the first download only to figure out that i was completely locked out of joining the server all my friends are in, unless you plan on playing by yourself, dont bother to boot this up with buddies unfortunately

EDIT: I want to like this game so badly. At its core, this game can be really fun, but its broken and buggy to high hell, its a shock that this isnt in early access, i would honestly add more but im so tired atm

Really want to like this game, its super fun when it works, but its menu UI and and very frequent server issues and disconnects makes the game just frustrating to even start. No other game I've played has such a bad disconnect problem, and it's not usually me, it tends to just be other friends trying to play, meaning I don't really have anyone to play with that I actually want to play rounds against. please fix this game and it will be an instant reccomend.

Genuinely one of the best co-op experiences in gaming, attentive devs, great community, a currency system that truly lets you get and use all the content the game has to offer. Can't recommend this enough!

Love this game to death, mechanically very fun and diverse, with tons of replay-ability.
Characters all have fun mechanics and lovable designs.
Cards you can draw all feel balanced and nothing feels overtly "over-powered."
Art is beautiful and immersive.
Cross-play works very well and is simple to figure out.

Two major issues you should know.

The game is *extremely* buggy and with how long the game has been out, its clear that the devs simply do not care enough to actually fix the game. You will have to relaunch the game after nearly every match if you play multiplayer, it never works twice and always breaks lobbies (sometimes it just doesn't work the first time.) The game is fun enough that it doesn't personally bother me enough to stop playing, and over the years, the bugs have lessened, but it's still a shame that even to this day it can be frustrating to open a chest or hop in a lobby quickly.

The game is also highly competitive, so much so that it can really cause friends to get heated at each other, so if anyone in your group is a sore loser, its best to steer clear from this game.

Other than that, it's a very fun game at a decent price. Definitely pick up if on a sale or from a bundle.

Heres a simple guide on how to avoid the community:

1.) Create a room with the command /room (roomname) [add name of gamemode to roomname if you want to play a gamemode other than default]
2.) Set a password for your room with /pw (password)
3.) Invite friends

I've beem playing tfm since 2011, the community wasnt bad then, I have no idea what happened to it.
It's still fun though, and I spend alot of my time playing it. Definately recommend.
