Early Access Review
Right now the game offers too few things I like in survival games. There is almost no "survival", unlimited water, food, no injuries/illness and lots of mats that have no real purpose (also for an early access game). The only survival aspect are the fighting with the AI (like a tower defense game). I loved the bag inventory system, the crafting animations and the building can be really cool in the future, when its working. I come visit the game in a year again.

Thumbs up if they...
1 ... change the missions (maybe so it saves your progress in the world), that you don't have to do the same things all over again every time - and thats literally what you do 80% of the time on a mission = It is so boring and tedious!
2 ... change the Outpost mode or give us a real sandbox mode - with predators and the whole map! (right now it is only for building in a small part of the world - without predators and with a really slow XP gain).

If you still hesitate buying no man's sky, you need to see a doctor. The game is brilliant - and the biggest update right around the corner.

For me, this is a masterpiece!

I came across this game a month ago, and had no expectations, it looked interesting, mysterious.
But omg what did I find here?! And yes, this may sound crawly, but this game is worth every praise!

Why?

It enthralls you so much, from the beginning to the last breath..
The story is like a mixture between a David Lynch and a Alfred Hitchcock movie - if you like or adore the two Directors than you just HAVE to play Darkwood!
The Gameplay is great, the sound fits perfect and makes a mysterious ambience, the events and animations are breathtaking and scary! And every time you think you saw and experienced everything, Darkwood punishes you...

The last point: if you read the letters and dreams and events - and actually try to solve what happend in Darkwood - and I highly recommend to do so - you can't stop trying and you want to find the next clue and go on playing.

I really wished I didn't finish it (Beta 2.0) - to experience Darkwood again. But I am looking forward seeing the final version coming in August - and the Epilogue of course! (because I still have some questions ;)

greetings
