This game is ok
I like that they come up with new content, but it might be way too expensive to get all DLC at once, so wait for a sale for getting all dlc

I have played this game way too much... And yet multiplayer and with mods I can still play this over and over again.

7/5... I can explain with a poem...

I was Poland, I made tanks. Invaded Germany, they got spanks.
Play as Denmark, nuke Berlin, coup in Sweden, let the fun begin.
Devs might patch as though they are gods, but in fact a game is best when it supports mods.

so if you like a game of walking, then buy this game. otherwise if you want the story, watch a lets play or buy it in two or three years when you can get the full content a lot cheaper. The cutscenes are good, the story is ok, though so far it seems like you get less content than in the stick of truth, while the launch price is the same. the new combat system seems to me more boring than the old one, while the UI with your "items" and powers seem worse than in the stick of truth. Since this is a standalone game, and not an expansion, I would expect it to be better than the first one, or at least with the same amount of content.

look at the game in alpha.
looks nice, you build a base, attack and have skirmish.
buy the game and realise they removed features.
why can't i attack friends bases?
why did they remove bases?
instead of removing features, it would be nice if they added features.

Seems like nothing new is added except steam integration.
The old game was perfect, this is as well!
