YuYu Hakusho

The manga created by Yosikhiro Togasi and the anime of the same name. The manga was published by Shueisha in the journal Shonen Jump, consisting of 175 chapters constituting 19 volumes. In 1994, Hakusho YuYu won the Shogakukan Publishing House Award in the category "shöneng" . As of June 2007, Japan sold more than 44 million copies of manga . In the United States, it is translated by Viz Media in the American version of Shonen Jump magazine. The anime, created by Fuji Television, Yomiko Advertising and Studio Pierrot under director Noriyuki Abe, includes 112 series (4 seasons), several OVs and two animated films: The Golden Seal and Bonds of Fire. Anime won Animage magazine 's Anime Grand Prix twice in 1993 and 1994. The series was first broadcast on Japanese television channel Fuji Television from October 10, 1992 to January 7, 1995, and was licensed to the United States in 2001 by Funimation.
