The USSR was established during the First World War when the the Tsar was overthrown by communist supporters. Vladimir Lennin led the Communist party in a successful revolution agaisnt the Tsar and his family. The great Soviet Union was formed and quickly became a world power after World War 2. Based on the works of Karl Marx, the Soviet Union thrived and challenged the entire world with it's jaw-dropping military might.
