Personalization Updates to the Steam Controller!

A big update just happened around the Steam Controller!

You can now personalize your steam controller such as naming it and changing the sound it makes when you power it on/off.

Also the controller now stores your configs directly on to it. Pretty cool for using the controller at a friends house and keeping your configurations.

Just an FYI, this new system seems to require a constant online connection and profiles are no longer stored locally (so you can't add in vdf files), it's all tied to your cloud account at the moment.

Yep, SC has always worked in windows even without Steam on, but if steam is on you can rebind it also. :HangingController::shadowgrounds:

I think mine controlled the mouse in Windows from start up before the update

I also noticed the controller now controls the mouse pointer on fresh-boot before Steam launches. Is this a sign they are adding more Windows native support?

I read there was a problem with steam scanning the wrong folder for the old profiles. That will be fixed later today.

Yes I did have to opt out of the beta to fiz the issue.

Ahhhhhh not happy because its a broken update for the link with controller u can't change controls and lost all my saved ones... I hear opting out of beta will fix this.....


I'm going to try to opt into beta on the link maybe that will work too.... I hope, because I spent alot of time to set up my games cpnfiga and its all gone. Ffs
