Community Created Maps Is Making A Comeback!

Hello everyone, big news!

Gang Beasts Community Created Maps is coming back to life :).

Although, I won't be the one putting life back into it - A whole new person will, and this new person will be taking over as the new owner of CCM - Which includes every location. His name is RainbowGamerLite

He has been a long time poster on the Gang Beasts forums, and also is an administrator on CCM. As for other 3rd party Gang Beasts communites - He is an administrator on Pedia Beasts (owned by me) and is high up on the Gang Beasts Discord server (owned by Pybro). Ultimately, Rainbow is a very trustworthy person, extremely nice, and overall a great person.

He will do a good job running CCM :)

As for me, this may be my last announcement on CCM (probably not, but, I can't see a reason for why I would need to make another announcement in the future), Rainbow will pick this up from here.

So lastly, hello again, and now goodbye. If anyone wants to find me then feel free to. I'm still very active on the Gang Beasts forums, and you can also find me on the Gang Beasts Discord. Maybe even stop by at Pedia Beasts - Which is a 3rd party Gang Beasts wiki and community which I launched after CCM. Lastly, I'll of course stay on CCM.

Community Created Maps Officially Starts Shutting Down

Hey everyone. Starting today, CCM, and all of its locations will start to shut down. This process will take a few days to complete.

Starting back at the beginning of 2015, I was really into 3D modelling at the time and I had the idea to model fake, showcase only, Gang Beasts maps that players would request.

I posted a thread about it on the community, started off sort of slow but then requests started to come in faster and faster as the days went on. Then my one of other friends saw what I was doing, and he ended up joining me with this "business" and started modelling maps as well - At that point the CCM guide was created.

At this point we had hit more than 100 requests and others soon started wanting to become a part of this. CCM grew to a point where there were a lot of staff (aka the modellers) and hundreds of map requests - Which then motivated me to start a group (the group ended up closing but then relaunched as this one).

CCM got hundreds of times bigger than what I ever expected it to be, but since no staff here (same for myself) can commit to making maps at least semi regularly, then CCM isn't worth keeping up.

I'm not at all mad that staff weren't doing much, I was one of the first to stop losing interest in making maps.

Now I've been focusing a lot on Pedia Beasts, the first full unofficial Gang Beasts wiki with generous developer support that Boneloaf has offered. I unfortuantely can't focus on Pedia Beasts and CCM.

1 and a half years and hundreds and hundreds of map requests later, CCM has had a good run in being the first place in the Gang Beasts community to make maps, and unfortuantely - We never made our goal for implementing custom maps into the game, but there has been a couple breakthroughs that have occured during this time which can help for map makers in the future

The CCM group, guide, and thread will stay up - But are no longer updated and no one can join the group anymore.

I don't know when I'll take over or anything like that, it seems you need to find someone mature to take care of this group. I wouldn't want to rule lots of groups. Please.
