When an offer seems too good it often is "too good" :Shhh:

I had his happen a few months ago, was very strange to see someone on my list randomly send me a shady link. Instant removed

Just happened to someone on my friendlist. :c

I wrote a comment on their profile, trying to warn everyone that the user got hacked, but the profile went private after that.

John Doe Sadly this is even worse cause it's done through users already on your friendlist.

All it takes 1 person to fall for it, to have it spread around all your friends directly. :lunar2019piginablanket:

It should be common sense not to accept random stuff from strangers, to click every link and especially to never ever log in to unknown sites just because you have been asked to do so.

Pro tip: first login at steamoss.com then you only need to click Sign In if the site supports openID login (where you use your Steam login). If you are already logged in to Steam on your web browser and a website asks for you to login again that is a sign telling you that the website doesn't use openID but rather is a phishing page asking for your login details.
