You just lowered the bar of being stupid.
This DLC looks fun, which I won't be buying anytime soon because I still have plenty to do in the regular game. Eventually I'll spend the 20 bucks, to play because it looks fun.
So that's 50 bucks for both I will have to spend, when I would have gladly paid 60 dollars for Ark itself since I have nearly 20 hours and I spent not even 20 in DOOM and spent 60 bucks on that.
Should Alpha version .001 have paid DLC? Most likely not and people wouldn't support it either.
But Ark has been around a while, is a great game, and is nearing release, no way still in Alpha like OP mentioned.
