We continue our investigation of last year's intrusion with the help of outside security experts. In my last note about this, I described how intruders had accessed our Steam database but we found no evidence that the intruders took information from that database. That is still the case.

Recently we learned that it is probable that the intruders obtained a copy of a backup file with information about Steam transactions between 2004 and 2008. This backup file contained user names, email addresses, encrypted billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. It did not include Steam passwords.

We do not have any evidence that the encrypted credit card numbers or billing addresses have been compromised. However as I said in November it's a good idea to watch your credit card activity and statements. And of course keeping Steam Guard on is a good idea as well.

We are still investigating and working with law enforcement authorities. Some state laws require a more formal notice of this incident so some of you will get that notice, but we wanted to update everyone with this new information now.

Well Valve ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up windows servers a couple of updates ago so our 2 modded campaign servers haven't been showing up in the list of group servers ingame since then. Here's an easy way to start a game on one of the 2 modded campaign.

1.Start a lobby like you normally would.

2. Open your ingame console by pressing the ~ button.

3.Type "mm_dedicated_force_servers 173.65.16.184:27715 " into the console without the quotation marks and push enter.

4.Close the console by pushing the ~ button again.

5.Start your game. It doesn't matter if the lobby sdays official server under server type. Once you've entered that command in the console it will force it to connect to our server.

To use our other modded campaign server just change the ip in the command to 173.65.16.184:27095

The only reason it might not connect for you is if there are already people on the server playing, but since they don't show up anyway since valve's update that should rarely be a problem as there isn't people playing on them oftem.

- Changed the "All Mutations" list, now you can select either "Custom Mutations" or "Official Mutations" before searching for a certain Mutation type.

- Added "Classic Versus Co-Op", no L4D2 weapons/items or SI are available (found within the Custom Classic Mutations list).

- Added "Witch Hunt 2", Witches are sitting instead of wandering (need to access from console using "witchhunt2" command).

- Re-Added "Crouch Sprinters", upon request.

- Updated all 'Versus Co-Op' type mutations, changed a Cvar to allow the survivor bots to act slightly faster when a teammate is pinned by an SI.

- Updated "Special Delivery Versus", decreased SI amount from 6 to 4 and disabled the respawn timer.

- Updated "Spitters!", prevented other SI from spawning in certain areas.

- Updated "Tank Attack", added support to complete Crash Course's finale and you now have to reload (once the ammo amount reaches 0 it'll reset to 999).
