AA Classic Gaming: The Best in Town*

In this newsletter I'm going to talk to you guys about our CS:GO Fall Tourney, and some more information that you guys should know about AA Classic.

Fall CS:GO 1v1 Tourney

Let's get a few things out of the way about the tourney. Here are some of your frequently asked questions, and answers to go along with them.

Q: When's the tourney going to start?!?
A: Our current plan revolves around us hosting the tourney on Thanksgiving weekend. The specific date is not yet finalized, but it's surefire to not be on Thanksgiving Day. The tourney will be held over the course of ONE day.

Q: How much is the tourney going to cost?
A: $5. This price is to cover the rent for the area, and snacks. The price may vary depending upon rent prices.

Q: How do the tournament brackets work?
A: Okay, here we go. The tourney begins with group stages, where 4 groups of 6 people each will play against each other Round Robin style (everyone plays each other once). 12 players will be eliminated here. The top 3 of each group will move on to play in the second group stages, consisting of 3 groups of 4, Round Robin style once again. 4 players are eliminated here. The top 2 winners of each group and the best ranked 3rd places will be put into the quarterfinals. From here the tourney progresses normally, going from quarterfinals (BO3) to semifinals (BO5), and semifinals to the epic final match (BO5). Phew, that was complicated. We'll be releasing an easier visual representation of this closer to the tournament. Note: Group stage games are played to 10 rounds, others are played to 15 rounds.

Q: I noticed you mentioned "best ranked 3rd places" in the brackets. How is that determined?
A: Your ranking will be determined by how many rounds you've won over total rounds played. This will determine your seeding as you move on over the tournament, and will be used as a tiebreaker if necessary.

CS:GO Tourney Style Practice Games

Want to practice for our upcoming Fall CS:GO 1v1 Tourney? Well look no further, you can sign up to play against other members of AA Classic in the same format that the tourney will be using! This weekend at starting at 7 PM and going to 9 PM, both Saturday and Sunday, will be the available times, and we're planning to host these weekly until the tourney begins. This service is free of charge (of course), and will be good experience for you to play your competition. Games will be BO5, first to 15. We'll be releasing more info to those who sign up.
