Steam Sale (Some Pro-tips!)

Hey all! We survived the Mayan Apocalypse. Check that off your card, if we survive just one more we get a freebie!

Anywho, the steam sale is upon on us, so prepare your wallet and whatnot. There will be many deals every day. And there are also some achievements you can fulfill to get a nifty "Winter Sale 2012" badge on your profile (so check those out too)

For those of you new to Steam Sales, welcome! Here is a quick set of rules to make sure that you get the most for your dollars this holiday season:

If the game is the daily deal, buy it
If the game is a flash sale or vote sale, buy it
If it's the last day of the Steam Sale, but it
If the game doesn't fulfill any of the above criteria, wait for it and it will get cheaper
Additionally, each "daily deal" lasts for 48 hours, so if you miss it the first day, check again. Also, they tend to do a "best of" on the last day, so if you missed out on a deal earlier, you can try to hold out until the last day to get it again

So first post from me, I didn't even realize that I had been made an admin until I checked the group a few days ago. You'd think Steam would give you an update for something like that.

Anyways, just wanted to wish the few of us who will be playing video games while the world ends, a Happy End of the World!

You might find this funny as well YouTube Trailer . An end of the world movie with pretty much the same cast of Pineapple Express haha...

Is anyone alive? I assume everyone here is 30+ years old now. Do kids just play fortnite and make tik toks these days?

I know the suggestion was made last year, but we really should try to do some sort of larger LAN party. I went to an overnight LAN party up at Western last year, and it was fantastic. Who knows, maybe even talk to SAO?

I made that mistake years ago when I first put the group together... and it is suprising that nobody had caught that yet.
