"It all started in 2007, when a bunch of dirty sailors (myself included) from the USS John C. Stennis missed the launch of Warcraft’s Burning Crusade to go on an eight month deployment. While we were out there, someone came up with the brilliant idea to start our own guild. We didn’t want our old guilds to carry us through the content: we wanted to see each first kill, not just collect loots.

Upon commencement in September 2007, we began downing bosses and climbing the ladder to the top of the server. By the end of Burning Crusade, we had downed 5/9 Black Temple bosses before the nerf and were ranked 3rd on the server. Considering that there were 25+ competitive guilds on Gul’dan, that was a pretty impressive feat.

Wrath of the Lich King brought what many consider the beginning of the end of our original incarnation. While the new content was fun and fresh at first, 3.0 got stale for many people within two months of launch, and many of our members moved on. As the patches came, the game continued to show its age and we lost more and more members. Combine this with being on the worst server in the United States, and our poor guild didn’t have much of a chance. PN the WoW guild officially disbanded in June 2010. Some members stayed on Gul’dan, carrying on the guild name. Others left for far away servers, new games, or even real life.

The death of a WoW guild, as sad as that is for everyone involved, turned into the birth of something new, and probably even better. We have moved on from being strictly a WoW based guild to hosting a gaming community, open to all who share our spirit to play competitively and honorably, all while having as much fun as possible.
