Francisco Franco has been looking to expand the Spanish navy, but more importantly the acquisition of battleships. Spain has been speaking with the Italian government for support in building two Littorio-class battleships. These are Italian Battleships, but Franco has decided that these battleships are the best choice out of all the Battleships he looked at so far. Since the Italians are willing to help in the building of these two battleships, Spain is going to start working on both of them at the Ferrol Naval Base. This naval base is already built to construct battleships and cruisers, it was the birth place of the first battleships built by Spain. Now it shall be the birth place of two new modern battleships, the Franquismo and the Espanol Podria. They shall be completed in the later months of 1942 (1942 Q 3/4).

The United Mexican States, after having supported the United States of America against invasion, would now start a second string of nationalization. They have already seized oil in 1938, and now public transportation is being nationalized by what the American news are claiming is "Soviet Mexico". How the world reacts is yet to be seen.

Many American states are suffering as the restoration of standard oil and other monopolies in the USA are causing more economic hardships in their own land - at the gain of the people of the US.

In the United States of America, the Socialist Party has been gaining traction in California where a minority of Californians are calling for war with Japan again. The majority of the inhabitants is happy with the new status quo though.

In the Middle East, the Kurds in Turkey are in uproar, having been given support and supplies from neighboring Iraq for several years. Now they want more rights from the Turkish state and local autonomy.

Poland has fallen, but before it did, many Poles fled for France, the United Kingdom and even Italy, hoping other nations in Europe would host and accept them and allow them to continue their resistance.

In the British Empire, there are two different camps: Those who distrust Germany and Japan and those who are suspicious of the "Communist menace". It is time for the government to take a side.

The Baltic States were sent an ultimatum by the Soviet State to accept military basing or war, but the postulation was rejected, and calls for aid were sent to Germany, the UK and other nations that may lend a hand. Lithuania even offered Memel back if Germany comes to defend them.

In Yugoslavia, many partisan cells are raging, but the Italians are blessed by the lack of unity: Croats, Bosnians and Serbs just as often fight each other as the Italian menace. Albania has refused the ultimatum sent and made a counter offer of becoming an Italian protectorate and assist in crushing the partisan rebels if they are granted considerable autonomy in the New Roman Sphere.

A day of great sorrow and mourning for Germany!

While Germany was victorious, the fake Polish state annihilated by our Panzers who fell upon the Slavic hordes like our ancestors the Teutonic Knights did! When the German Volk was celebrating our Führer Adolf Hitler for having cleansed the Polish threat, a great disaster happened for our Aryan Reich. The execution of the operation was successful. The Jewish agent attacked Hitler while he was leaving the New Reich Chancellery. Peace: War Over

Los Angeles, C.A., United States, July 1940 | As the Japanese forces made a swift escape after their failed attempt to invade these United States’ mainland, thrown back by the brave freedom fighters of our armed forces, a telegram reached the field headquarters in Los Angeles: white peace. It came from Tokyo, and was met with suspicion and skepticism. Why wouldn’t it? Afterall, these were the same people who orchestrated the most catastrophic attack on American soil since the War of 1812 over a century ago. With President Ford facing an illness in bed, Acting President Landon brought the war’s possible solution before Congressional leaders, those of whom jumped at the chance for peace, fearing the Japanese capture of the Panama Canal and the ramifications for that attack. Afterall, if a Japanese invasion force on par or larger than that at Los Angeles were to attack the South, the nation’s soft underbelly, may God have mercy on this Union. And so, the United States Senate approved of the peace deal with little to no argument, just as they had approved of the vote for war. But even with peace, once a thought, now realized, there is no celebration. Men return home as militias and other forces are demobilized and dissolved to no parades, only solemn regret. Victory was taken from us. Stolen not by the Japanese. Stolen by our own government.

The Polls: 39th Quadrennial Election I

Across the United States, July 1940 | Through thick and thin, the American people have always maintained our democratic principles and our constitutionally-required procedures. In one of our greatest crises, the Civil War, elections went as usual. Americans fought for this land time and time again, built it from our very own hands, and we ingrained in this land our sovereign rights, granted by the Lord at Creation, bestowed upon all peoples. American principles are invincible, and shall never see their own sun set. As Jefferson and Paine wrote, we ought to build an empire for liberty. So now, we employ these principles in our 39th Quadrennial Presidential Election.

Four years ago, Henry Ford narrowly won election in 1936, beating the unpopular Roosevelt. And now the Democrats nominate Harry Truman, a Senator from Missouri, one of few Democrats in the upper house. Truman is a different tune than those sung by Democrats in 1936 and 1932. Instead, his tune is similar to Ford’s, making, very possibly, this election another close one. President Ford, in his advanced age, was stricken with an illness brought on by the stress of the situation, since having passed. The American people have two choices: an old man, or a old man’s lapdog. Some Republicans whisper about unseating Ford, but the drastic change would look poorly upon the party. America faces yet another point of diversion: Truman or Ford?

Panama: The War Rages

Washington, D.C., United States, July 1940 | Though peace with Japan has been concluded, the war with Panama is still in question. The Panamanians attacked the United States upon direction from their masters across the vast Pacific, but the United States has refused to conclude peace with them. A betrayal committed against us by our own children, in a sense. Many Latin American nations looked to the United States not only for their government types and organization, but also for their survival, as we have been committed to their defense since the enacting of the Monroe Doctrine in 1823, over a century ago. Since, the United States has only strengthened its policies in the Americas, vowing to be as a vanguard for them from each other, and themselves. This act of treachery can only have one answer: Panama will surrender, and accept a temporary U.S. military occupation. The mother eagle loves her children, but will not tolerate one of her own snapping at her.

Ending the Japanese Scourge!

"Comrades!

The Imperialist Japanese have once again decided to act against the best interests of world peace and the best interests of the Working class within every Capitalist nation. The Japanese have begun a great war that serves to fuel Capitalist oppression of the Working class with endless war and industrial wage slavery. Our brave Socialist ally in China has battled this aggressor and oppressor for many years, for their freedom, for Socialism and for the international liberation of all of the Working Peoples of the world. Now it's our time, the USSR must honor her commitments to China and has thus sent in ultimatum to Tokyo demanding the following:

I. Japan must withdraw at once from all occupied Chinese territory, including Manchuria and Taiwan.
II. Japan must recognize these territories as Chinese and the People's Republic as the legitimate Chinese government.
III. Japan must at once make peace with China.
IV. Japan must withdraw from Korea to be replaced by Soviet troops.
V. Japan must cede Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands to the USSR.
VI. Japan must at once make peace with the United States.

Failure to comply with these terms will result in a start of war being declared."
