If you encountered an error message while attempting to watch a movie that states your client is outdated and therefore cannot play the movie, you may try copying the complete URL of the streaming page and pasting it into Microsoft Edge. It appears that Firefox and possibly Chrome have problems playing certain movies via the Steam web page.

Since it says "all non game related video apps" this proabably means theyll still allow SOME movies. But most will be removed in the future and no more non-gaming video will be release.
