Final Announcement

Fellow Kritz Unit members,

As of today, we are no longer participating in UGC Highlander. The main reason is just a lack of time.
As I predicted the amount of time it'd cost, I saw that not I nor some of my participating friends could afford the time.
I've tried everything to find some time to finally begin with our first meeting over ts, our first lobby etc., but this just proved to be unachievable.
I hope you understand this decision, and my apologies for making false promises. Any questions regarding this can be answered by me or Dogelition Man, the owner of this group.

Our hopes were high at the beginning of this whole thing, (9 days from now, to be exact) but making a team, arranging a server AND looking for reserve players depleted the little time we had. We will unfortunatly not participate in season 10 in UGC Highlander. Before you guys go: "Why, McKritzin?! Why?!?!" I'll explain to you why it's better to withdraw this season.

-We had 10 days to make a team
Only 10 days to make a team? Even the A-Team would've refused. Not even Pepperidge Farm remembers them saying that.

-We needed proper voice communication.
Most of us haven't even talked through TeamSpeak once with eachother. It's important to get used to talking to eachother with a mic. Assuming that none of you is a radio DJ, No TeamSpeak = Dead Team.

-It's summer
After the match dates were announced, I received complains. There were players that would be away for 1-3 weeks somewhere in the middle of the tournament. This only adds to the stress and forces both you and the player to be dependant of a suitable substitute. Besides, summer is not considered a good 'gaming' season. Thank god we don't have any Southern Europeans, their motherboards would be toast for the heat.

Now, instead of 10 days, we have 60 at least. And assuming our current team members stay with us to participate in season 11, preparing for it will be nothing more or less than a piece of strawberry cheese cake. We'll also have time to hold trainings/lobbies/meetings etc.

My point is, why enter this season, unsure of the outcome and lack 1 or 2 players? If we enter next season, I'm sure we'd even be able to compete in the Steel skill level. A matter of time folks.

PS: Über, receiving medals for participating is no reason to participate anyways :-)
