Pleeeeease!

This game has cute chibi (sorry, no offense (not sarcastic)) men (and girls) running from demons and shadows. Sound familiar? The moves are repetitive. Sound familiar? Try it! I'm only half an hour in and I cried already.

Reloading from checkpoints works! I died a few times on accident but immediately quit out of the game and reopened, starting again from the last big checkpoint. It worked! I got the Survivor achievement at the end of the wanderer's gameplay.

Are the jumpers supposed to be so hard to land on? I can only get down to 4 of them before I can't hit them anymore. There is a Youtube video where someone does it in like 5 mins but I've been trying for so long. For an achievement that 8.8% of players have (Pain for a pain), I feel like it shouldn't be this hard. Is there something I don't know or am doing wrong?...

After getting stuck in the game I looked up a walkthrough and believe came across a bug that prevented me from continuing: When escaping the first hunter I came across the area with wall of spikes/thorns on the right side of the screen. Apparently the hunter is supposed to run into them and die. However, before I got far enough, the hunter managed to kill me and the screen reloaded. Now, I can see the hunter in the room below, but I'm stuck in the area above it and can't get back down to trigger it to go ...
