🔷 ABOUT THE GAME & LORE🔷

The story unfolds in 2159 on the distant planet Enoch, humanity’s last hope after Earth became uninhabitable from centuries of exploitation. Aboard the colony ship “The Flores”, mankind's finest—scientists, engineers, and elite soldiers—set out to build a new home.

The Outriders, elite soldiers, are tasked with scouting Enoch and preparing it for colonization. However, the planet proves hostile, with a mysterious energy storm called “The Anomaly” disrupting technology, mutating life, and killing most who encounter it. Rare survivors, like the protagonist, are transformed into powerful beings known as Altered, wielding supernatural abilities. Enoch’s dangers also include its mutated wildlife and remnants of the alien race “The Pax,” whose ties to the Anomaly deepen the intrigue

🔷 THE GAMEPLAY 🔷

👉 GENERAL:

The title brings a thrilling third-person shooter experience, perfect for fans of fast-paced, action-heavy gameplay. The story is straightforward yet engaging, with enough lore to dive into or simply follow the action. Whether solo or in co-op with up to three players, the game tests your coordination, reflexes, and teamwork

You’ll have access to a vast arsenal of powers and gear to suit your playstyle, emphasizing combat over crafting. The looter-shooter mechanics keep the gameplay dynamic, making every encounter a test of skill and strategy. As usual, the main key points below:

> The main campaign and side quests are straightforward and easy to follow once you get the hang of the format.

> Choose from 4 classes, each with 3 unique skill tree branches. With DLC, you gain access to PAX and Ascension trees, expanding on possibilities.

> Gear & Attributes: Equip 2 weapons, a sidearm, and 5 armor pieces, each with varying stats and unique skills. Legendary sets provide bonuses when 3 pieces are equipped

> Each class has 8 unique abilities, with 3 usable at a time, boosted further by gear perks.

> Elemental damage types are a big part of the gameplay. There’s quite a few of them and prove extremely powerful If built upon accordingly.

> Not centered on equipment modification, however, you are given the option to boost all 3 main stats of an equipment piece, or change 1 perk skill. NOTE: Modifying a slotted perk on an equipment piece will lock the others, meaning you will be able only to replace that one modified perk in the future without touching the others. This pushes you to keep playing as the only way to get a perfect drop is via RNG.

> Resources & Currency are awarded by playing & completing missions, both from missions, drops, and traders as a lot are crucial for late-game upgrades.

> Enemies are split in 2 main categories: humans/humanoids and fauna, each with unique units, leaders, and tactics. Humans require strategy while fauna demands agility, sweating hands on the mouse either way.

> Missions are fully replayable, so you won't miss collectibles or achievements. Start from any unlocked story point in the lobby. Awesome stuff!

👉 NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The map system is fairly easy to navigate once you understand the format, it gives no real time position so it takes a while to adapt, however, it reveals and advances progressively so this helps a lot with getting used to it. Not much to say here.

👉 PHYSICS & MECHANICS

Here is where I draw the line and feel sick with all the weekend gamers, broke meat slabs and unemployed by choice, lacking the ability to logically approach a situation objectively. For all of you who have the audacity to review the game with less than 5 hours or without finishing the story: Your minds are of a silence that echoes the void, I hope your influence on future generations remains nonexistent.

The game runs fine, experienced nothing broken, very well optimized. Played it co-op with 2 friends and none of us could make sense of the reviews on Steam.

Unfortunately the ponder of people leaving a review while satisfied with the game is way smaller than the brokies who had to stop buying weed for 1 month so they can get a game for 10$, play it on a 2013 rig and then leave bad reviews, rendering games as “Mixed”.

👉 GRAPHICS & OPTIMIZATION

Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. I’ll tell you one thing I was blown away by: I was sitting on the edge of a snowy area in co-op, we stood there for 5 mins admiring the view until one of us decided to shoot rockets at a VERY distant structure. Guess what? We noticed how the rockets were hitting the exact spots we were shooting at and the hitbox made sense. Somehow, these guys rendered the very distant landscape objects as 3D, the amount of work is unbelievable!

What I also loved about it is the great usage of a vivid color scheme. With all the powers & stuff going on, it could get your eyes sore in a short time, but it doesn’t because it’s very well made. I loved the visuals in this game, flipping A+

👉 ACHIEVEMENTS & COLLECTIBLES

Do-able! Very do-able but of course it takes time, however, I appreciate the developers for not forcing us to dozens of hours of unnecessary gameplay & work. There’s just 1 grindy achievement but very do-able. As a note, not a single trophy is missable.

🔷 CONCLUSION: 🔷

Outriders is a phenomenal game beneath the surface of subjective reviews, you just need to stop listening to idiots and try stuff for yourself. Steam Reviews are for a problematic majority full of incompetence and angry people, it is what it is. I will sure remember this tittle and me and the friends I played it with, are hoping for a new DLC or Outriders 2, we totally support the idea. I cannot encourage you people enough to stop being stupid!

🔷 PROS & CONS 🔷

✔️ PROS:
- Very good character writing and voice-acting, characters show proper expressions and feel natural.
- Great variety of core gameplay mechanics yet simplified and user friendly.
- Non-grindy achievements and none missable!
- Beautiful design, game is wrapped in a nice diverse visual environmental package.
- Perfect story length, it wasn’t too long, neither too short from start to finish + DLC.

❌ CONS:
- You cannot jump/crouch + you can go through where the game allows you to, not much free movement.
- Could’ve used 1 more enemy species, they are diverse but if you go for all achievements you get bored.
- The DLC Ending cutscene. They better have a reason for it being the way it was. (No spoilers)
- RNG is maybe somewhat unfairly annoying, depends on your build of choice
