Tank on Tank Digital attempts to read from the publisher's website by contacting http://www.hexdraw.com/Version/TonTLink.txt. This website simply returns the text "Linked". When the value read in from this website is "Linked" the flow of the game ends up in a a situation where it throws a `FileNotFoundException` all of the time, regardless of whether the file was actually found or not! We can bypass this branch of code and avoid the `FileNotFoundException` completely by simply *not* reading that website....

Hello I wonder that the game was fixed but now I can start the game, browse the menu and options, but when I start a scenario or a campaign, the game closes immediately. I can see for a second the map and the units, and then closes and goes to Steam UI. I have uninstalled and installed the game, and verified the cache. Anyone has the same problem or any solution? Thanks in advance....

The game started crashing for me on both my Mac and PC computers yesterday I can select a scenario and click Start. The game map with the units briefly appears and then the game crashes and I am returned to the Steam launcher. This is happening on both my Windows 10 PC and macOS Macbook Pro. Reinstalling the game and running in windowed mode do not fix the problem. I tried to find a support page, but only found a link to the LnL website with forums for the tabletop version of the game.
