I was a big fan of PUBG PC with 1000+ hours of playtime. In Oct 2024 they decided to turn off their servers in Australia. Now AU-based players need to connect via servers in Asia, which makes the game unplayable. I used to get ping < 10 ms, but now I am averaging 100+ ms, which is not feasible for FPS games. The increased latency has completely ruined the experience, making it nearly impossible to compete fairly or enjoy the fast-paced action that PUBG is known for. The lag is frustrating, and the lack of local servers feels like a disregard for the Australian player base. It's a shame because PUBG was once my go-to game, but now it's just a source of disappointment. I really hope the developers reconsider their decision or find a solution to support AU players better. Until then, I can't recommend this game to anyone in Australia.
