Extremely buggy.
1) When someone (incl. bot) needs to discard cards, your timer runs, and game kicks you!
2) Freezes, mess up players
3) Cannot connect to servers from Ukraine
4) Random is very strange, looks like cheating
5) Overall it seems there is no sense in purchasing it

Catan Universe? More like Catan Unplayable. My experience with this game was an absolute trainwreck. The lobby system feels like it was designed by someone who’s never had friends to invite, and the servers? Let’s just say they make dial-up internet look reliable.

I hyped this game to my friends, and now they’re all mad at me for recommending it. We were halfway through a game when—boom! It crashed. Game over. Back to square one. It’s like the app wants to ruin friendships, not build them.

Creating a lobby is a nightmare. Want to add a friend? Hope you enjoy leaving and re-entering the lobby a dozen times. It’s as if they intentionally made it harder to socialize, which is ironic for a social game.

I love Catan, but this app? It’s like someone tried to port the game into a black hole of bad coding and thought, Yep, good enough. Fix your servers, fix your lobby, and maybe—just maybe—I’ll consider playing again.

Game runs great, If you pay for the full version in the store its a one time purchase and it is alot of fun, worth the money. I am not sure why people are saying it is "buggy" or subscription based, its not at all. I would highly recommend.
