Is there a racing mode vs other boats?

Just received it as a gift from my friend however it will not launch fully.

On the boat model if you give the pad height and make it say 90 degrees, there are two dimples of sorts that sit at either side of the pad, which i believe catches water and makes the boat lean out, this is frustrating because i am trying to replicate a water ski race boat called a sonic which leans very far in utilizing a near full square pad and a 24 degree deadrise to turn ultra sharp, but with a square pad it leans out, and I believe changing this one side affect would completely change handling with ...

I'm interested, but this seems more like an early access game and not a complete game... is the game still in development? I noticed the last update in April 17 almost a full year ago.... I have a Next Level Motion rig and was also intested with respect to the movement aspect. Anyone else use this with NLR wondering if this works well under this game? Thanks guys...! RKip...
