No xbox360 gamepad support?

I'm trying to run the game on my steamdeck. Everything loads fine but the game is like in slow motion. I can't figure out if there is a setting to change or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My character attacks sound effects sound really low in comparison to music.

I tend to almost exclusively play 2D games with the DPad vs. Joystick when possible, any chance of having support for that added? Would also be nice to have a few more windowed resolution options. I've been manually adjusting my window size, but it'd be nice to have more presets! EDIT: Oh and being able to map the Dash to a button instead of just jump+attack, or the Map instead of Upx2, things like that....

Fought him once and either lost or exited myself (don't remember). Now he won't spawn in that area no matter what I do; I just get kicked out of the level, without even listing it as completed.. Is this a glitch, or am I missing something? Could this be fixed through an update, or do I have to start from the very beginning and get all the items all over again? BecauseI tried uninstalling and reinstalling; no use. Edit: yep, glitch. To those playing this, please make sure you save before the Cairo stage....
