im in the final act and just got captured by the rebels, theres a guy holding a gun in a room and im suppose to burst in there but i only have 1 bar of health to begin with so he kills me instantly everytime what do i do?

I have a problem with the save function in this game......I play up until I meet the rat in Act 2 and then the game does not save and takes me back to Act 1 where I find the Music Box.....I have tried this three times and the result is the same....the game is not playable for me until this issue is fixed.
