Everything in this game is completely backward.

Here's a interesting cast of characters and a story where I can immerse myself... but we made you a silent protagonist so you can't actually connect with anyone, constantly break immersion and actually look like an a-hole the whole time.

Silent protagonist? Does it mean it's at least a canvas for my own persona? Can I do what I want? Like, can I give Giul to the Baron? I don't like her and he seems like a reasonable guy... NOPE, it's as streamlined as it gets.

Look at this amazing setting, full of atmosphere and details!.. you are on a time limit and will literally die if you wait too much, no time to appreciate, just go!

Look at this interesting weapon system and solid combat, isn't it fun?.. wait, you killed someone? Literally the bad ending bro, doesn't matter if it was self defence, you don't get to have fun.

This is a game that does so many things right but punish you for trying to enjoy them, which is honestly even more frustrating than a bad game.

Great Game! A good closure to the series.

Played every metro game before this (Last Light on Epic) - this made the whole experience much more enjoyable as the metro world is really expansive and feels very real. The graphics and the semi-open world gameplay gives justice to the world 4A have created. DLCs were great too. But for me - it's the world building and the lore of the long lost metro tunnels. The D6 bunker, the hidden away maps, the crazy factions. They stole my heart and made me live a life I can only imagine.
