The gameplay and even the model look very similiar, if people don't understand what I'm talking about then look up cybernator for super nintendo?

Is there a bug or glitch in the final mission where you need to outrun the reactor? I have been trying for hours to get this right but every time an explosion will appear in front of me even when I am well ahead that pushes me back and kills me instantly. This doesn't appear to happen on the pre-Steam videos I've seen on Youtube....

It´s just me or it´s impossible to escape? Even watched some videos but i can't get it, becomes frustrating after the 10th intent.
