Customization, HUD and YOU!

Why have this normal, meticulously designed Heads Up Display, like such:

When you can make your OWN brilliant HUD layout!

Art Design and Visibility is for losers! What do I know about designing HUD anyway! Have you seen my last game on here?

You see, I tried my best to make as put customization in this game as possible, because I can't do player skins. Hlev refuses to change his stupid attire because he is animated Frame by Frame. So unlike 3D games or 2D games with puppet animation, replacing sprites is not easy,

I mean, look at this sprite sheet for the animation of him falling on his ass at the start of level 1:

I'm not drawing all that again just to make him purple.

So instead, we do stuff like the Billboard, the Emotes you get by holding 1,2 or 3, AND the Custom HUD!

Here's a video showcasing this in action, letting you customize individual HUD elements, including Moving, Resizing, Rotating, and even Squishing & Stretching.

Progress Update! Ghosts in the Club!

Hello again hlevrybody, Chapter 2 is going swimmingly so far, so here's footage of its second level:

Party - Case 2: Neon Slow Mo

Here's a video of that:

You got the brand new enemy; the Ghost Guard. Named after a certain.... something... from some.... other game.

They're ghosts that walk back and forth and throw EMP Dynamite packs at you.
Yeah I bet you're %$@*& in your boots right now from all the new material in the final game, huh.

It also showcases another new enemy called the Heavy Cane Killer. He's a slow version of the regular guys, but he's the first enemy to have $4 of HP, AND he's got two canes!

That's it for today's myth news, We've currently started on the Boss of Chapter 2, which will take longer to make than a normal level. So if we're lucky, we'll have Chapter 2 playable from start to finish by the end of this month.

Demo Update 0.5.12

That's right, hlevrybody, we're actually updating the demo again! We're in the middle of chapter 2 right now, but we're releasing an update for the demo anyway, you never know what we'll do next. In this new update we made fixed some visual things, fixed a couple crashes, and added a new mechanic called the twirl mechanic, where you can wall jump when dashing into a wall from a slope! Half Fun!

Changes:
- Foo Fighters will only attack if one of them sees the player or are inside of a wall now

New Features:
- Added twirl mechanic (jump off of a wall when you dash into it from a slope)
- milk

Bugfix:
- Fixed a crash involving an npc in level 3
- Fixed a crash when pressing buttons on logo start
- Added walls to spots where you can fall off the map
- Added shadows to bonus case 1
- Trash bag props are no longer the same sprite everytime (whoops)

Progress Update! Chapter 2: Party - Case 1 Teaser

Hello hlevrybody, now that the Demo has been published, we're back to making the full game!

Hope everyone's having a summer, 'cus we already mostly finished the first case of chapter 2. A level themed on a beach party at night. Here's a video showcasing it!

(The song here is temporary, we don't have the stage music yet, so for now it's just reusing a track from At Least there is Čeda Čedović. This particular fancy track is made by Harvey Rothman).

It showcases a brand new myth AND new movement tech that is probably too broken in its current state.

Thank you to everyone who tried out the Demo so far and given us feedback and shared the game and made fan art and used this teaser to prove sea monsters exist.

Demo Update 0.5.8

Hello hlevrybody, in this new update we made some changes to the 4th floor, added a couple more accessibility things in controls and did a bugfixing. Here's a list of tasks I did:

Changes:
- Boss in level 4 has been slowed down slightly
- Trees in level 4s arena are now darker once in battle
- Broken camera pieces are layered behind the train now for more clarity
- Enemies will now fall at a max speed
- One room in level 3 has been changed to be less confusing

New Features:
- New popup when you come back to a previously played level (Extra Hud Tip)
- Added Extra Hud keybind to controller
- Unbound reset button on controller (You can change this in controller settings)

Bugfix:
- fixed a crash involving a bus

Demo Update 0.5.5

Hello hlevrybody, we're writing to tell you that there's a small update coming your way. Read the list:

New options:
- dpad options for movement or emotes
- resolution scaling for people that had framerate issues with the game

Bug fixes:
- added prevention to swapping with kebab powerup when in the ground
- fixed a lot of text with outlines/shadows be unscaled
- fixed controller issue with one special npc
- fixed issue where controller face button visuals were incorrect
- fixed issue where turning off shaders did not turn off the water shader
- fixed it so checkboxes can't be yellow on all but one

Misc:
- A couple lines in Credits changed
