A beta test version of the game (0.6) is now available! You can access it through the library page by right-clicking on NO-SKIN Demo > Properties > Betas > 0.6_betatest

Here’s a list of the main new features:

-New area: A new area has been added, which includes new enemies, bosses, items, upgrades, etc.

-New permanent upgrades: New upgrades can now be purchased from the moon, and some old upgrades have been updated.

-Dream Diary: The first two pages of the dream diary have been updated. NOTE: Only the first two recollections, Mary and Rugs, have been updated. The others remain unchanged. This is a kind of teaser for how the other recollections will be developed in the final release.

-QoL improvements: Now you can save your run, along with the ability to disable permanent upgrades,
and more.

Save files from version 0.5 will not be compatible with 0.6. The way permanent upgrades work has changed, and overall, the progression is different.

This version is much more experimental than 0.5, so feel free to report bugs or leave your feedback.

You Shouldn't Do That...

I know it's the Demo and we shouldn't beat the game on the Demo, but throwing the Angel and the No-Skin Man one after the other to make sure the player won't beat the Demo is nonsensical. The problem with that it feel forced because it's not diegetic... I played more games that the developers also tweaked the Demo a little bit to make sure the player won't go far, but it feels that the game is cheating on purpose. Demo Update

The demo has been updated to version 0.5! This update primarily focuses on:

-QoL/Accessibility: Based on your feedback, accessibility has been improved (like the ability to rebind keyboard keys), and several mechanics have been enhanced (such as inventory management)

-Texts: A number of incorrect texts have been fixed, and new ones have been added or existing ones modified for better consistency

-Balancing: The game's balance has undergone significant changes. Many players complained that the difficulty was too low, and since it's already possible to lower the difficulty, I've decided to better balance the strategies that allowed for easy wins. In general, overpowered mechanics/items have been nerfed, and elements that were clearly weaker than other available options have been buffed. Feel free to share your thoughts on this balance—I believe there's still plenty of room for improvement!

what is the point of non-permanent hp?

sorry if dumb question, but i chose to swap all hp for non-permanent hp and i instantly regretted it. not sure what the potential benefit is.

DISCUSS: Prefer the old art style and design

Giving the characters more visible features removes the mysteriousness and aesthetic that I really adored. originally not being able to distinguish reality especially from the perspective of the main character made for a really good foundation of questioning their existence in this unknown world and scenario. NO-SKIN IS 90+% COMPLETE AAAAAAA

A new twitter update around new years is insaneee!

The game looks to be so much bigger than I initially thought! If you thought the demo was long...I imagine that the main story is going to be VERY LONG since you go from 'skin finding' to 'traitor finding'!!

I also think that the other gamemodes will be centered around replayability, like playing the demo version and/or with custom modifiers!! I am super hyped and I really hope that the dev takes as much time as they need!! ːc...
