go to GOG and download the complete version that comes with both expansions then install the horde of the abyss mod for a truly amazing heroes 3 experience. has a crowd funded online lobby and many quality of life changes.

YES to the game and the franchise.
BIG NO to this edition.

It's yet another instance of how I'd gladly sell myself into Our Lord and Savior Gabe's slavery - but Ubisoft, being ever gamer haters that they are, do not have a proper HoMM III collection here on Steam.

The HD mode is worth it, but let's face it, in its 25 years of existence the HD mode is something that's been done in modding community and has been done better.

Will leave you wanting more with other DLCs and full-scale mods, as it left me, so I'm off playing the other ones somewhere else until Gabe welcomes me into his slavery with new shiny editions.

None of the DLC content makes this not worth it sadly
