In this add-on the 17 km south-east of Frankfurt am Main (Germany) located airport is the most important airport for general aviation in Germany. It has been recreated in high detail including all its facilities. In combination with the photo realistic textures of the buildings and vehicles and a 0.5m/pixel ground texture resolution, the scenery looks very authentic.

South Carolina, 8th September 2016 - Laminar Research, creator of the X-Plane flight simulator franchise, has announced the latest update to X-Plane 10 to version 10.50.

Over the years it has always been the policy of Laminar Research to continually improve X-Plane, providing the most realistic flight simulation available, with flight modeling so accurate that has been adopted by numerous commercial aviation organizations. Now with the release of the latest update, X-Plane 10.50, Laminar has raised desktop flight simulation to a new level of realism.

Major features of the 10.50 update include:

• Hundreds of new detailed 3-D airports now with auto-placed static parked aircraft.
  
• New U.S. city autogen for more realistic scenery with buildings scaled to their accurate heights.
  
• Greatly improved Baron & King Air aircraft and 3-D cockpits.
  
• Global winds aloft files.
  
• Better AI (artificial intelligence) with virtual aircraft traffic.
  
• Added support for auto configuration of the Control Pad and Xavion Mobile Apps.

• Better randomization of AI parking spots.

The Airport Calvi, located on the island of Corsica and beautifully embedded in a valley, has been faithfully recreated with high resolution aerial images, numerous custom 3D objects and exact ground markings. Landing approaches are thrilling at Calvi: While Sainte Catherine is usually approached from the seaside, pilots can fly past the airport to the west then turn by 180 degrees and approach the runway from the south. The add-on is available for X-Plane 10.

Twentynine Palms Airport is the first project of our scenery development company 29Palms Scenery Design and JaraNet for X-Plane 10. They have set a whole new level of detail and realism with this scenery, based on many references from the real airport. Along with a huge library of high quality 3D objects, the software forms the basis for all prospective 29Palms sceneries.
