Companions appear slightly faded into the background similar to Sidekicks, but they also follow the player’s Legend around the Map and react in real time to the events of the match.

Companions also have a mind of their own. They don’t always react to the same actions the same way each time!

For match readability:

• If there are more than 4 players in the game, other players’ Companions may not be visible.
  
• With 5 to 6 players, a maximum of 3 Companions will be visible, prioritizing you and your team’s Companions.
  
• With 7, only your Companion is visible
  
• With 8 players, no Companions are visible.
  
• Note: We are aware that spectators are not currently able to see Companions. We are targeting a future patch for a fix.

Starting on December 18th, we’re hosting the first ever Brawlhalla Skirmish!
Choose your Faction, Team Naughty or Team Nice, and get ready for a new brawl of epic proportions!/i]

- Choose your Faction based on your personal preference. There is no wrong choice!
- Factions compete against each other by playing online matchmaking games.

- When you play any Game Mode online, you earn Influence for your Faction.

- The Faction with the most Influence when the Skirmish ends is the winner.

- Special “Skirmish Battles” take place when you get matched with a member of the opposing Faction in
Ranked. A random Influence multiplier is applied to a Skirmish Battle, which can be seen on the loading screen before the match.

- Some rewards are granted when you choose your Faction, and extra rewards are granted when the Skirmish ends.

- Faction Title awarded based on your total personal contribution to your Faction at the end of the Skirmish.

• Adept - 5,000 Influence
  
• Hero - 30,000 Influence
  
• Legend - 100,000 Influence

- Each member of the winning Faction will earn an animated version of their Faction’s Avatar. Additionally, any Titles that have been earned from your personal contribution to your Faction’s Influence will be yellow.

- Titles that have been earned by members of the losing Faction will be white.
You can check the status of the ongoing Skirmish, including when the Skirmish ends, in the notifications tab of the Player Menu.

This patch contains minor adjustments for all weapons, generally increasing reward for underutilized attacks while decreasing reward or priority for certain attacks that were too centralizing for a weapon's game plan. It also contains King Zuva's first balance pass, making him legal for use in official tournaments.

AXEAxe Groundpound's ground collision has slightly more threat coverage to prevent certain cases where the target could be dropped before the final hit.

• Axe Groundpound: Slightly increased threat coverage near the user when colliding with the ground.

BATTLE BOOTSThe Battle Boots damage output on its farthest reaching starters, the Side Light and Down Light, has been decreased to be closer in line with other string style weapons. Some of this power has been shifted into less Recover time on miss for the Down Light.

• Battle Boots Side Light: Decreased Damage from 14 to 13.
  
• Battle Boots Down Light: Decreased Damage from 7 to 6; Decreased total Recover time on miss from 16 Fixed/15 Variable to 14 Fixed/15 Variable.

BLASTERSThe Blasters aerial kit now has greater reward with better string potential from the Neutral Air and greater knockout potential from the Recovery attack.

• Blasters Neutral Air: Increased Stun of the second blast from 20 to 22; Decreased Cooldown time on hit from 9 to 8.
• Blasters Recovery: Changed Force from 50 Fixed/41 Variable to 48 Fixed/44 Variable.

BOWThe damage of the Bow Neutral Light and Down Light have been decreased to better fit their overall speed and priority.

• Bow Neutral Light: Decreased Damage from 15 to 14.
  
• Bow Down Air: Decreased Damage from 18 to 17.

CANNONThe Cannon Down Light's Damage has been slightly decreased for less total combo damage. We have also decreased the threat coverage of the Down Air for better opportunities to contest this attack.

• Cannon Down Light: Decreased Damage from 14 to 13.
  
• Cannon Down Air: Decreased threat coverage at the extreme edges during the start of the blast; Decreased threat coverage near the user and at the front edge during the end of the blast.

GAUNTLETSThe Gauntlets Side Air now has less priority and greater Recover time on miss, allowing much greater opportunities to either contest this attack as it approaches or punish it on miss.

• Gauntlets Side Air: Decreased maximum horizontal threat coverage; Hurtbox moved slightly forward during the attack; Increased total Recover time on miss from 7 Fixed/21 Variable to 9 Fixed/21 Variable.

• Hammer Neutral Light: Increased Damage from 17 to 18.

KATARSThe Katars Groundpound now has greater Force to provide more appropriate reward for this commital attack.

• Katars Groundpound: Increased Force from 48 Fixed/35 Variable to 48 Fixed/37 Variable.

ORBWe have increased the damage of the Orb's Recovery attack to be closer in line with other similar Recovery attacks.

• Orb Recovery: Increased Damage from 17 to 18.

ROCKET LANCEThe Rocket Lance Neutral Light now has greater Force to better match its low vertical threat coverage and lack of movement.

• Rocket Lance Neutral Light: Changed Force from 43 Fixed/40 Variable to 40 Fixed/43 Variable.

SCYTHEThe Scythe Neutral Air now has less priority, making it easier to either contest this attack or maneuver around it more consistently.

• Scythe Neutral Air: Slightly decreased maximum threat coverage.

SPEAR
The Spear Neutral Light now has greater Recover time on miss and less damage to better match its quick Time to Hit and sizable reach.

• Spear Neutral Light: Increased total Recover time on miss from 5 Fixed/16 Variable to 6 Fixed/16 Variable; Decreased Damage from 15 to 14.

SWORDThe Sword Down Light now has less damage to bring this weapon's total combo damage to a more appropriate range for its versatility.

• Sword Down Light: Decreased Damage from 9 to 7.

UNARMEDThe Unarmed Down Air now has less priority, making it easier to either contest this attack or maneuver around it more consistently.

• Unarmed Down Air: Slightly decreased threat coverage below and in front of the user.

KING ZUVAKing Zuva's Neutral Hammer now has greater Minimum Charge time to widen the Dodge Window after a Down Light. We have also increased the Recover time on miss to grant a wider window to punish this attack. King Zuva's Side Hammer now has greater Time to Hit to open a Dodge Window at low damage ranges and decreased maximum momentum during the attack. We have also adjusted the setup location for more reliable use when properly releasing the charge after striking an opponent.

• Neutral Hammer: Increased Minimum Charge time from 9 to 11; Increased total Recover time on miss from 20 to 25.
  
• Side Hammer: Increased Time to Hit from 16 to 19; Slightly decreased momentum from movement such as a dash; Setup location of the first hit is now slightly lower.

The Brawlhalla World Championship Expo 2024 may have ended, but it is just the beginning of the "10 years of Brawlhalla" celebration! The past 9 years have been incredible thanks to the support from you all in the community, and we have some of our coolest things in store to celebrate with you. Player-made Clans shaped Brawlhalla's community since 2015, even driving early esports and community socialization. Now, Guilds are bringing the clans system into the modern era with enhanced features and console support. With them come a new Map and other Items to be revealed at a later date. This Event also has exciting new features for Brawlhalla. Grogu is something new to Brawlhalla called a Companion that follows The Mandalorian around in battle. Plus, Chewbacca will carry his Bowcaster two-handed like a rifle instead of one handed or dual wielded like every other Blasters character in Brawlhalla.Han Solo, Chewbacca, Kay, and The Mandalorian join Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul, who all entered Brawlhalla earlier this year.

Before we dive into Guilds, we need to talk about the path paved by player-made Clans that led us here. Player-made Clans were the backbone of Brawlhalla’s early community development, dating back to 2015. In fact, Clans even helped push Brawlhalla Esports in those early days before there was official Brawlhalla Esports.

Clans have remained a core component of the Brawlhalla community, but they’ve outgrown the in-game Clan functionality. Guilds aim to bring the clans system into the modern era with all the features players have been dreaming of—including support for console players. Guilds are a social feature that allows Brawlers to socialize, grow, and compete with friends or rivals in-game. This first iteration introduces features like Guild Leaderboards, Guild Missions, Guild Battles, and more. The team has been working hard on this feature for a long time, and we are thrilled to bring Guilds to the Brawlhalla community.
