This patch adds paintings, adds banners, and fixes several other minor issues.

0.817 change list:

increased CraftingChestRange from 300.0 to 400.0
added 25 clan paintings
added 101 monster banners
added 14 multi monster banners
now phase in npc fighting reputation level
now phase in npc fighting to death reputation level
drakes, liches, lurkers, and death knights can no longer be gargoyles
chaos lords, krall, and rylors now have a higher chance of being gargoyles
targs now have a higher chance of being statues
now show health increase numbers from life steal from items (Major Twitch)
NPCs with weaver skill can now make banners
NPCs with painting skill can now make paintings
now killed monsters have a chance to drop a banner of their type
reworked fading out music a little so less chance of getting music stuck on
added alpha to decay icon
fixed show area names/show object names overlapping other ui on world map
fixed several monster faction names
fixed Small Yellow Sac Spider level
fixed Small Zombie Creeping Brood level
fixed Small Zombie Prowling Brood level
sped up getting monster archetype guard item slightly (database hint)
now skinning bonus only applies to leather scraps (so can use SpecificLoot for other purposes)
moved _applyGravity from Projectile/Torch to Entity

This patch allows you to move NPCs to different houses, gives the NPCs more to talk about, improves NPC marriages, and fixes a few other minor issues.

0.816 change list:

now there is an NPC location button on NPCs/town menu where you can move NPCs to different house deed locations
fixed a bunch of NPC dialog that was there but not being used
fixed many NPC dialogs only working if they are in a clan (instead of in town)
fixed some dialogs going to player clan, now go to town
added NpcDialogChanceMult to database and increased from 1.0 to 1.5
fixed recruit to party button on npc equipment screen (wrestless/ScrObot)
now spouses will move into the same house when they get married or are moved
added next/prev buttons to npc equipment screen (wrestless)
now reveal NPC personalities quicker when you listen to the things they want to talk about
now NPC insanity will slowly go down if they are a town luminary (happiness is 100 or over)
now players get some experience when NPCs get married

Desperately needs an "autosave" feature of some kind

I just started a new character and played for 3+ hours before my game froze. Upon reloading, that new character doesn't exist because it was never saved. I'm really bummed about that because I had some good items on that run. Can we get some kind of feature that automatically saves the game every 10 minutes or something like that? Losing hours of progress because the game crashed is extremely frustrating and makes me not want to play anymore. The controller support is pretty good and I like how the game ...

This patch updates all of the in-game help pages, adds more to the tutorial to get players quickly up to speed, and fixes a few other minor issues.

Soldak Entertainment is one of the few publishers out there that is an insta-buy for me. Din's Champion is another case of a fun, engaging game and world. The co-op is a lot of fun, and the deviation from their normal top-down style to 2.5D is a refreshing take, and I think made it even more enjoyable. I've spent nearly 100 hours in-game, 90% of which was co-op.

If you enjoy Terraria and games of that style, but with RPG skill trees, and a constantly evolving game world, where nemeses are abundant, and regular mobs can evolve into bosses - I definitely recommend grabbing this gem and giving it a try.
