Attention all Heirs!

This patch introduces several new gameplay changes primarily regarding the Logistics Center. Most significantly, the Weapons Assembly and Command Operations tables will now no longer send Echion back after a project is completed. Additionally, the Logistics tables can have their projects cancelled by long pressing the assignment keys. The cancellation takes a bit over a second, and new projects will be assigned based on what's available, with the progress reset to 0. Finally, Logistics tables have a diminishing return to assigned Echion; more Echion will still increase completion speeds, but each will contribute a little less.

Another new feature introduced in this patch are Scientists. Scientists are escort missions that provide incremental upgrades to shields, logistics tables, or already unlocked weapons. Scientists are available to be extracted after the city and all VIPs are already evacuated. This means the longer a city can be held, the more scientists can be extracted, resulting in improved offensive and defensive capabilities!

While not directly related to gameplay, it is important to note that this patch will abandon any current campaigns in progress, however all unlocked meta rewards such as Gambits and Archives will remain. Additionally, this patch includes the outcome of a project wide audit and cleanup, resulting in almost 1GB smaller total game size, and should result in slightly reduced video memory usage too.

[ CONTROLS ]
- Echion no longer return after completing a Logistics project (Weapons Assembly or Command Operations)
- Long press to abort in progress projects, works for Weapon Assembly and Command Operation tables
- Fix zoom function on camera look when using controller analogue sticks

[ GAMEPLAY ]
- Tables have diminishing returns on additional Echion. 2nd Echion is +50% faster, 3rd Echion is +25% faster
- Plethora stats (health, damage, speed) ramp up 200% faster (previously 100%) after the city is evacuated
- Scientists offer incremental upgrades after all VIPs and the city population is evacuated
- Assembly and Command Tables are activated at the currently unlocked tier. Logistics Extension operations only activate new tables
- Slightly reduced max radius of Generator Overcharge damage
- Shields are deployed 2 at a time per shield drop operation

[ HUD AND MENUS ]
- Add loading hints for long press project replacement, diminishing returns on tables, and incremental improvements from scientists
- Add Tier and completion rates of Logistics Tables to Codex

[ MAPS ]
- Minor navmesh optimizations in Cities
- Grenades will no longer hit the Generator Tower

[ MISC ]
- Project files audit and cleanup, ~800MB packaged game size reduction, and minor video memory improvements
- Lots of spelling and grammatical corrections in the Codex
- Add small sub explosion sound effects while the generator is overloading
- Fix location of healing bubble effect on Echion
- Remove restriction of Tier 3 unlocks for Demo

slight suggestions

Played some of the demo and here are a few points that really stick out. Whenever instructing your bots to do stuff underground if you have 2 benches and you send 2 guys they split 1 bench each, meaning that if you are in a rough spot and need guns made quickly you are unlikely to do so as you have no direct control of unto which workbench the bots move to work. Holding out is also dubious as it gives no information as for example how much ground is retained if you hold out for a period of time, lets say...

Full Release of Terra Exodus

Attention all Heirs!

This first patch of the New Year will serve as the exit from Steam Early Access and the also the introduction of Final Stand Mode. Final Stand is a single city scenario where there is no population to evacuate, only VIPs. Each VIP will unlock a weapon upgrade, Call In, Table upgrade or new Echion as usual, resulting in a more and more devastating arsenal throughout the course of a single city run against the endless building tides of Plethora!

There is lots of great ideas for Terra Exodus still left on the cutting room floor, so I'll continue to support the game with fixes or even features as questions or suggestions come up. This patch also comes with a number of fixes, mostly related to the tutorials and general menu experience polish, as well as other small things here and there.

[ CONTROLS ]
- Fix case where an Active Uplink VIP Operation will also count as completing the next Operation in queue

[ GAMEPLAY ]
- New Final Stand Mode available from the Campaign Selection menu
- All weapons are upgraded immediately after being upgraded (equipped by and Echion, currently queued at the Ammo Table, currently under construction at Assembly Tables)
- Call Ins and Shields are upgraded immediately after being upgraded if the Command Tables are the right tech tier (in Call In queue, any on Command Tables)
- Weapons that are upgraded past Tier 3 will get incremental upgrades to stats
- Project Tables that are upgraded past Tier 3 will get incremental completion speed bonuses
- Shields that are upgraded past Tier 3 will get incremental upgrades to stats
- Fix inconsistent Command or Assembly table tier unlocking if it was also unlocked temporarily from a Drop Sequence reward
- Increased chances of Plethora Surge waves events replacing normal waves from 10% to 20%
- Increased chances of a Plethora Prime wave event replacing a Plethora Surge from 20% to 25%
- Fix city population accounting issue with Game Summary

[ HUD AND MENUS ]
- Fix cases when Game Summary doesn't properly continue to New Game when unlocking an Archive Entry
- Fix UI freeze when attempting to start with a locked Commander
- Clean up Heir Selection button focus when using keyboard/controller
- Fix case where Heir Loadout menu can be stuck open when returning immediately to Situation Room
- Improved handling of Echion Status bar on HUD, especially when unlocking new Echion
- Echion Status bar will now correctly show when Echion are away on an escort mission
- Fix Population and Threat level bars sometimes showing incorrect levels

[ MAPS ]
- Fix camera clipping through the ship walls when panning to Game Summary screen after finishing a final Terra Exodus mission
- Set correct Heir orientation during Drop Pod fall

[ TUTORIALS ]
- Fix new Tutorial campaign starting with incorrect conditions
- Fix Tutorial T3 VIP mission not starting as expected
- Tutorial 3 first VIP mission can now be completed with an Active Uplink
- Tutorial 3 Drop In Rewards retry VO will trigger only when appropriate
- Fix cases where the Tutorial VO and Dialogs continue after exiting the Situation Room
- Completing the Tutorial correctly gives 3 Gambits
- Completing the Tutorial no longer provides an Unlocked Archive entry

[ MISC ]
- Minor optimizations to Evacuation Train and Shuttle
- Memory optimizations to landscape loading
- Minor optimizations to AI pathfinding and target detection
- Fix Echion running during generator explosions
- Fix case where Echion might not resume shooting after changing weapons

Attention all Heirs!

This weekend's update is finally the addition of some small story elements filling out the world of Terra Exodus. After every campaign, if at least a minor victory was achieved, an Archive Entry will be unlocked. An entry in the Archives is a small peek into the lives of the survivors of the first invasion, and some of the days after Exodus begins.

To make room for this in the Situation Room, a new UI was designed to help get around a little. This means the codex and the archives are now immediately available on beginning or resuming a campaign. The current tech and weapon tiers list is also cleaned up a little to make things a little more clear of the current situation. Finally, the expected Plethora pressure (indicating wave sizes, frequency, and intensity) is moved from the city view and is now indicated globally by its own progress bar.

This update also makes some adjustments to the internal handling and tracking of Save Games. Metagame progress will be preserved (Achievements and unlocked Gambits), but any currently active campaign will need to be restarted. Don't hesitate to let me know if any issues come up due to this.

- Situation Room starting widget modified to make room for Archives

About the version number

Checking your update records, it was version 42, or I believe 0.42 a month ago, and all of a sudden 1.0? I am curious why the version number jumped all of a sudden. Just to clarify, I am interested in the game and I was about to purchase it.

I played multiple runs, and here is some feedback/requests. I like the settings of the game, fending off aliens while buying the time for civilians to evacuate. Managing limited resources between combat and production while in combat is also quite unique. 1. Events The first aspect I thought that could use some improvement is the addition of non-combat event.
