every time i try and launch it it says launching then does nothing before just going back to play

Me and some friends who like the game are thinking about attempting to change the code or alter it and update the game for our own fun, would we be allowed to do this?

cant get a game to work. My friend can join the lobby but when launching the game he cant load in. "Connection Failed after 10 retries" Same happens when I try joining him
