Got stuck on interacting with a white cube A) exhume this script? B) Put script back into the resting place. Do I need this objective to progress?

I've found this game frustrating to play and i quit multiple times, but i had criticisms in mind and i felt relaying them to you wouldn't have been fair if i didn't complete the demo. Getting caught so many times because I couldn't peek around the corner, feels quite cheap. So like in old stealth games - been able to lean and peek around corners, without exposing yourself, would really help here.

The elevator in the large room with two guards walking a loop up the stairs and then off a ledge seems to be bugged. Every time i try to send myself up on it, it passes through me causing me to clip into the elevator and not move up. It takes the box up and down just fine but it wont move the player character....
