pretty interesting game. laughed at "silent mill" and "resident devil"

Finished the game on easy using infinite saves. Really engaging storytelling and effective use of the "game within a game" trope. Jumping between the player bedroom, the in-game games, and the chat was spaced around each other well and never felt tedious. I love how the developer clearly took inspiration from horror game titans like Resident Evil and Silent Hill while still making it their own. Most puzzles were challenging enough, and didn't really drag the experience. The placement of the scares and enemies was also effective. I was always on edge turning a corner or turning around. A lot of people complained about ammo being too scarce, but I think they just didn't understand that you don't have to fight everything and can run away/sneak past most of the enemies.

The only part of the game that I did not enjoy that much was the cave maze in Night Call and the "real-world" maze. In the night call maze, I fell off the map during the chase. I wasn't sure if it was part of the game or not, but after falling for a couple minutes, I realized that it wasn't intended. Figuring out how the arrows worked took me a second as I found it confusing how the central room that started the chase had arrows pointing up. That made me think I needed to do something in that room. The first lever puzzle that involved the bedroom and game was very cool, but the lever puzzle at the end where you're being chased dragged a little since everything looked the same. I do appreciate that it saved the levers I pulled when I died.

The big reveal at the end made me want to replay the game to see if I missed any subtle foreshadowing. I might do that with all the features of easy mode. Overall, really fun and engaging game with an engaging story. You've got me wanting to to discuss and read up on how others interpret the story. Thank you so much.
