Hotfix 1.0.4 is now live, bringing essential fixes and improvements to enhance your gameplay experience!

• Players that have already upgraded tools will no longer be prompted to upgrade them in their existing quest chains.
  
  
• Simultaneously contributing to a construction project or a craft bench with another player will now correctly award all players with progress towards profession quests and achievements.
  
  
• Fixed an issue where multiple construction drawings would be bought when right clicking them in the shop.
  
  
• Fixed an issue where quests may not progress correctly in certain scenarios.

• General performance improvements.
  
  
• Reduced the crafting time of brewing recipes.
  
  
• Fixed a bug that could cause loot to be thrown to unreachable areas of Temples.
  
  
• 🐔 Players that had previously experienced the famous "Chicken Cave Bug" will now have those caves clear again.
  
  
• Fixed a few occurrences of graphical glitches in the Town.

Thanks to your feedback on game balance, resource gathering, and core mechanics over the past few days, we’re excited to share some key improvements! This update fine-tunes several gameplay elements to make resource gathering more enjoyable and progression more rewarding, while also addressing bugs you’ve reported.🌴

We know that navigation has been a challenge for some of you, and we’re actively working on ways to make it easier. We appreciate your support as we work to make Luma Island even better!🌴

• Made it easier to smash Boulders, Ore Rocks and Rubble Rocks.
  
• Made it easier to cut down Trees and Logs.
  
• Made it easier to clear Cobwebs.
  
• Made Trees, Logs and Boulders drop more resources.

• Spider/Ghost health has been heavily reduced.
  
• Spider/Ghost attacks no longer kill the player. Resources are dropped instead.
  
• The spawn rate of spiders/Ghosts in the Mountain and Jungle caves has been changed.
  
• Spider silk is guaranteed to drop when spiders are killed.

• The first upgrade for each tool is now free.
  
• Reduced the resource cost of upgrading most tools.

• Reduced the construction cost of multiple craft benches.
  
• Reduced the Luma Energy requirements for profession recipes.
  
• Improved crafting speeds for Forest, Mountain, and Jungle recipes.

• Running through crops, bushes, ferns, grass, and water will no longer slow the player down as much.
  
• Added new beginner tasks to profession quests to teach you how to upgrade tools.
  
• Increased money received for completing profession quests.
  
• Increased money received when selling profession items.

• Fixed an issue where crashes as a client could result in a Luma being lost.
  
• Fixed an issue where players would not receive the lighthouse repair achievement.
  
• Achievements previously not unlocked erroneously will now be granted on save load.
  
• Addressed a number of performance issues relating to inserting items in multiplayer.

• Fixed a bug where the Tree Ground Rune puzzle would not spawn a treasure chest when complete.
  
• Improved translations.

We’ve been listening closely to your feedback and working hard to make your experience on Luma Island even better. Today's update addresses several key issues to ensure smoother multiplayer adventures, fixes achievement tracking, and resolves other challenges you’ve reported.

Here’s what’s new in this hotfix:

• Fixed a number of issues that could cause players to fail to connect to a multiplayer game or to disconnect during the game.
  
  
• Fixed an issue that could cause players to not receive Steam Achievements correctly.
  
  
• Prevented players mistakenly dropping tools while throwing gravel by rapidly switching items. Missing tools will be re-issued to players that have lost them.
  
  
• Existing games that did not receive the Jungle Map will now have it granted.

• Fixed a rare issue where caves may contain a large number of chickens.
  
  
• Removed blocking doors in one of the Jungle Temples that would prevent some players from completing the room.

We’re absolutely blown away by your enthusiasm and excitement for Luma Island’s launch—thank you for making it such an incredible start! As we soak in all your fantastic feedback, our top priority is ensuring your experience is as smooth and magical as possible.

To that end, we’ve just rolled out a hotfix to address some key issues and make your island adventures even better!

Here’s what we’ve fixed and improved:

• Fixed a bug where save games could become corrupted and result in empty levels.
  
  
• Fixed a bug where multiple players could insert items to a construction project at the same time, causing it to not be completable.
  
  
• Combat doors in temples have been disabled, preventing issues where players could not continue due to missing enemies.
  
  
• Fixed a bug where the whip would not be given to the game host.
  
  
• If write permissions are not available for game settings, a warning is now displayed.
  
  
• Fixed an issue where players would timeout too quickly when trying to join an online game, resulting in a disconnect.

• Fixed a bug where clicking <confirm> without hovering over any language in the language select would cause an invalid language to be selected.
  
  
• Fixed a bug where multiple players selecting a craft recipe at the same time would cause loot to duplicate.
  
  
• Fixed a bug where starting a game with old Dutch language selected causes issues.
  
  
• The Beehive is now unlocked in the Blueprint shop at the start of the game.
  
  
• Cats and dogs will no longer play their hidden chest alert continuously.
  
  
• Updated translations where needed

• Arachnophobia Button: Hate the spiders in the caves? Toggle this accessibility option in the settings menu to replace all spiders with ghosts.
  
• Unified Gameplay Mode: Hero and Cozy Modes have been combined into a single, balanced experience: Spiders & ghosts in the caves can now be killed with the whip. You’ll still get kicked out of caves if they kill you but the ‘Lost on death’ mechanic has been removed so you won’t lose anything (apart from time).
  
• Enhanced Fishing: Clearer visual cues make fishing easier and more intuitive.
  
• Farm Store: Tired of waiting for more crop seeds to arrive every morning? The Farm Store can now stock more seeds for some crop types.

• New Maps: All main areas in the game now feature new maps in the quest menu.
  
• Stay Oriented: Never get lost with the new player direction indicator on maps.
  
• Multiplayer Visibility: Playing with friends? See their locations on the map!
