Overall I'd recommend this for fans of the genre and steam deck users! Or if you want a game with a decent story that you can kill about 8 hours with for a cheap price. However if you are just interested in the story then perhaps just watching a play-through online would suffice as there isn't really much challenging or rewarding game-play involved in this one.

Pros:
- Decent story which can be beaten in under 8 hours.
- Runs great on Steam deck at 90 FPS on max settings. Just be sure to turn off V-sync.
- You can possess cats.
- Perfect for fans of the detective / occult mystery genre.
- Goes on sale for really cheap.
- Decent atmosphere and world-building, in addition to solid voice acting for a 10 year old game!

Neutral:
- Game-play is not very challenging and focuses more on the atmosphere/story.
- Collectibles are not too tough to obtain.. but may require a bit of running around in circles or backtracking if you don't want to use a guide if you're seeking 100% completion.

Cons:
- Controls can be a bit clunky (especially the object interaction prompts, which can sometimes require you to position your character a certain way before the interaction pop-up appears).
- Demon enemies feel like they were just added in to extend the playtime of the game; they're more of a chore rather than interesting or fun.
- No side-quests, just lots of collectibles.

I generally don't like the term "hidden gem" because I feel it usually gets incorrectly applied to games that the majority of people have actually heard of and celebrate. In this case, however, I think it fits the bill. Nobody talked about this game when it released and nobody talks about it now, but it's a phenomenal supernatural murder mystery that deserves to be played by anyone intrigued by the genre.

The gameplay reminds me of a mix of Life is Strange and the Sherlock games. You're not so much solving mysteries yourself through deduction, but rather using your powers to reveal clues that the game then stitches together for you as it reveals more of the narrative. A narrative which, to be honest, surprised me with its quality. The story, characters, and voicework was head-and-shoulders above what I was expecting. In the 8-10ish hours I played the game I never lost interest, and I was always eager to see what came next. There's so many games to play these days that I find it difficult sometimes to commit to just one, but this one hooked me from the get-go.

This game regularly goes on sale for like 2 bucks, and it is genuinely one of the best uses of your money that I can think of at that pricepoint. Fans of mystery, history, and the supernatural all owe it to themselves to play this.

If you like solving mysteries, you may like this game. The problem are the in between mechanics: Combat demons, move to other stages that feels repetitive and a LOT of collectibles, like over 170. If you find fun in getting all the collectibles, this is ideal for you.
