Hello Adventurers!

We’re excited to reveal a new era in the Hidden Through Time series… three eras actually!

Today we’re launching Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery, a cozy new entry into the hidden-object genre, taking players on 33 hand-illustrated new adventures across Victorian, Noir and Sci-Fi settings.
If you enjoyed Hidden Through Time 2: Myths and Magic, you'll love this new full entry into the series!

Take your attention to detail to new heights and join Sherlock Holmes as he looks for clues in the Victorian era; meet Anna, a young astronaut as she seeks out new worlds in the Sci-Fi campaign; and look back to the mysterious 40’s in the Noir era as Detective Jane Spade investigates high and low in The Case of the Missing Corgi.

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery finds new ways to play, with Reality Shift, switching time and weather across levels and revealing new secrets. Uncover the Map Editor, allowing players to create and share their own levels with over 1000 new objects and 500 new customisable characters to build the ultimate hide and seek adventure!

Coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X|S on Tuesday August 13.

In Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery, you will embark on an exciting and epic quest through time across three brand new eras: Sci-Fi, Noir and Victorian, exploring historical locations and uncovering hidden treasures along the way. With challenging puzzles and intricate hidden object scenes, you will need to use your wits and observation skills to solve each level and progress through the game.

We are pleased to announce we are expanding the Hidden Through Time franchise with the next installment; Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery!

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery is coming soon to PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Mobile (Android, iOS).

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery is a cozy hidden object game that has you searching for hidden objects in hand-drawn, interactive landscapes. Ignite your imagination, unleash your inner artist with the editor and share your masterpieces with the world!

Key features

Relaxing Gameplay
A relaxing and cozy experience is ensured as the game doesn’t feature timers or similar mechanics to put pressure on the player. They’re able to enjoy the game at their own speed.
Map Editor
Players have access to assets from all three eras (Noir, Victorian, and Sci-Fi), giving the ability to bring their imagination to life in the Map Editor, where creations can be shared with the community.
Reality shift
Seen in the previous game, Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, the Reality Shift feature makes a return. This allows players to explore a whole host of new objects as they can shift between time and season, giving more depth to each map, enabling more space for storytelling within one map.

Bug Fixes

Certain UI elements that were missing localization have been updated.
Fixed an incorrect UI prompt when attempting to follow yourself after playing an Online Map.
Fixed some online map hints being assigned to the wrong objectives.

Gameplay

Controller support has been greatly improved, adding shortcuts to certain actions and displaying prompts when controller input is detected.
Several optimization features have been added to improve performance.
Certain languages have had their localization improved.
Reduced the maximum number of placeable objects in Architect from 4000 to 2500 to ensure more stable and performant online maps.
Reduced the maximum number of placeable Animated Characters in Architect from 500 to 100 to ensure more stable and performant online maps.

Fixed an issue for Ultrawide monitors where certain UI elements in the Architect Editor were covered by other UI elements.
Fixed an issue for Ultrawide monitors where the loading screen animation did not properly fit on-screen.
Fixed an issue for Ultrawide monitors where the Main Menu UI elements were covering each other.
Fixed an issue for Ultrawide monitors where the Era Select and Level Screens were not displayed properly.
Fixed an issue where tooltips for Online Map entries were rendered underneath the scrollbar.
Fixed an issue where the “Edit” button in Architect Play Mode was not placed correctly.
Fixed an issue where filters for Online Maps were not being applied properly.
Fixed an issue where flipping Characters or Animals in Architect would break their Walking animation.
Fixed an issue where some maps could not be saved due to an error.
Fixed an issue where the Time Shift VFX would not be properly displayed on certain Aspect Ratios.
Fixed an issue with VFX objects causing them to use incorrect layering.
Fixed a UI issue in the Save and Load windows where labels would clip the scrollbar.
Fixed an issue where selecting objects in Architect would not play a sound.
Fixed an issue where using the “Find in Scene” feature in Architect could break the ability to select objects.
Fixed a bug where some Achievements unlock earlier than intended.

Gameplay

Containers and Structures will now close automatically when uploading a map after successfully completing it in Architect.
Navigation and Zoom controls have been improved for Controllers.
The hitboxes for animals and characters have been adjusted to better match their graphics.
Added an interaction range slider in the gameplay options which allows you to click a bit further from an object and still interact with it.
