Hi Shop-Like Community!

It's been a couple of weeks and development for Shop-Like has not ceased!

Some of the promised features are on their way and I plan to release a Beta-Branch on friday.

What will be new in the Beta Version?

Sell Influence Points
A much-requested feature was the ability to trade influence points. You will get this option by being able to sell influence points that you don't need and use that money to buy new influence points that you need.
Send Heroes on Adventures
So far heroes can only change their stats when they go on an adventure on Adventure Day. So far the player had relatively less influence about who will go on that adventure and therefore was a part of the game that could be safely ignored.

To make this system a bit more interesting you can send heroes now on an adventure via the visiting menu at the Heroes' Guild. This should allow the player to have way more options in shaping their customer pool and invest in the adventure day chances.
Medal System
Since a lot of players have already finished the game, I thought I give them some new content to play through. Admittedly I was surprised how quickly players found ways to exploit the systems and found ideal ways through the mechanics to beat the scenarios. So I created a medal system that effectively quadruples the content we have so far.

Basically, there are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond Medals for each city. Each medal adds some modifiers to the run to make it a lot harder. Testing the difficulty of these new medals proves to be very time-consuming, which is why I am releasing the new update as a beta version first.

Hey everyone! Thanks to coming to my TED-Talk Devlog!

In this Devlog, I want to discuss the first 36 hours since launch and the future of the game.

Thanks to all of you, I've already been able to address some minor bugs and perform balancing adjustments through the first two patches. The reception of the game has been amazing so far, and seeing people love it is incredibly important to me.

Ideas and suggestions are pouring in on the community hub in Steam and on the Discord server, which only fuels my excitement to further improve the game.

But what do I have planned for the future? What's to come?

While I have numerous ideas for quality-of-life changes (such as a sortable inventory), I have two major ideas for the 1.1 version.


Overhaul of the Adventure System

Primarily, I want to revamp how the quests work. Perhaps give them a graphical enhancement for a more visually pleasing experience. The concept of Adventure day is fine and will likely remain, but I want to introduce the option to send heroes on adventures, giving players more control over the wealth and haggling skills of their customer pool.

Enhanced Sandbox Mode

The current sandbox mode was always intended as a temporary solution. Firstly, I believe it should be available right from the start, rather than as the last town to uncover. Secondly, I would like to implement a system where players can create their own scenarios. You'll be able to set your starting money, debts, day limit, and starting items. Additionally, the system will generate a code for you to share with other players or to create challenges with your friends.

That's essentially what I have in mind at the moment. I can't make any promises as it depends entirely on how the launch week goes.

Couple of minor bug fixes and exploit stoppers in this patch.

• Added names from the discord
  
• You can't click multiple times on the "We don't have this right now"-Button anymore
  
• You can't offer a negative buying price during haggling anymore
  
• You are not allowed to play Gamblecard if you have forgotten to enter a betting amount
  
• There is a version number at the bottom right in the main menu now

Changelog:

- Window Mode changing to Full Screen in Main Menu Bug has been fixed
- Gamble Card Betting Limit has been reduced
- Gamble Card Rewards have been reduced from 3x/2x to 2x/1.5x
- A bug was fixed that was locking out the bank, if you would leave the run during a round of gamble card

I am so happy to release Shop-Like to the public! In the following, you find a small list of changes that have been made between the Streamer Version and the Release Version.

• Heavy nerf for Gamblecard: Bank Influence needed is raised and the winnings table was altered in the bank's favor
  
• You get 2 knowledge per sale instead of 1
  
• Corousing in dayplanning gives 4 knowledge per time slot instead of 3 now
  
• Heavy nerf against the Hyper Inflation midgame crisis
  
• Upgrade "The People's Shop" was buffed
  
• Upgrade "Cold Expression" was buffed
  
• Upgrade "Bull's Eye" was buffed
  
• The traits "Likes Standard" and "Loves Standard" were nerfed
  
• The costs for training your slime were lowered
  
• The price money for Slime Racing is significantly higher now

Bug Fixes:

• Slimes will not have dublicate name in Slime Races
  
• Fixed the costs to create news
  
• You can't enter a negative betting amount anymore
  
• Fixed an issue with the Upgrade "Risk Dealer" that did not reset it's bonus after each customer
  
• Fixed a bug where the slime speed was not correctly calculated for your own slime
