I really enjoyed this game. It had a very fun story, tons of side quests and lots of room for exploration. The characters were all well written and I was very impressed. It always felt like there was a ton of stuff to do and had no trouble maintaining my interest.

My only complaints are that some of the pacing is a bit off. The job points come very, very slowly and it is a slog to get your classes maxed out and to move on to new classes. Also, the combat is really easy, absent a huge difficulty spike at the final boss. Also some of the class balance is a bit off. The heavy armored type warriors aren't that useful since they don't hit that hard and their extra defense doesn't matter much since nobody takes much damage anyway. Also, there isn't a ton of difference between "warriors" (lightly armored warriors) and rogues. Meanwhile my wild mage is an invincible engine of destruction. I tried working with elemental mages but found them to be terrible.

All that may sound like a lot of complaints, which is not my intent. I really want to emphasize that I had a lot of fun with this game, highly recommend it and thorougly enjoyed it.
