Alpha Version Demo Deactivation & Future Plans

Thank you to hundreds of players who tried the alpha version!
Based on the feedback, I identified some common problems in the alpha version:

There is a disconnection between the story and the combat because they are separated. It is difficult to follow the story, and the combat does not feel immersive because of this.
The game seems to have more story/text content rather than the combat. The combat sections feel sparse compared to the amount of text to read in the demo. Being a JRPG, although a lot of reading is to be expected, the pacing of the game feels a little bit awkward due to the issue mentioned above.
Part of the fun of tactics game is your characters grow stronger after each battle and you can customize their abilities to suit your playstyle. However, this is unachievable because of the roguelike mechanics. There is no sense of character progression in combat because power-ups are reset every session, and there is little control over which power-ups you receive due to RNG.

Moving forward, I would like to address these issues and share what changes to expect in the final demo version planned for release around Q2 2024:

The story and combat will be seamlessly integrated, similar to other JRPG games. For those who are not interested in the story can still skip it and access it later through a different menu.
There will be story battles and free battles. Story battles will use fixed map layouts and enemies tied to the story, while free battles will be procedurally generated, similar to the combat in the alpha version.
This game will be a turn-based tactics JRPG at its core. Most of the roguelike mechanics will be removed. Upgrades will become permanent, allowing the players to select the upgrades they want instead of pick 1 out of 3 options style.
The final demo will have 2-4 hours of content (mostly combat related), and save files will carry over to the final game.

Lastly, the current version will be deactivated and no longer available until the next version is ready.

Short opinion about demo

The game itself is good and I like gameplay, because is similar to Utawarerumono, when you can choose in which direction you want look out to minimize damage/lower accurity of enemy attacks and also you can benefits from it too, attaking enemies from behind or on sides. Story look fine, I am intrested how Arcadia look like, what will happen later to Solomon parents, when they will be resurrected and what side story will be offer. I don't encounter any bugs during playing the game and also menu reminds me a...

Fixes & Changes:

Added confirmation before going to battle if there are upgrade materials left.
Fixed bug when replacing rune, stats bonus from previous rune still applied.
Fixed bug stacking runes with the same effect does not work properly.
Fixed minor text inconsistencies in PT-BR language during story scene 1, 2 and 4.
Tweaked the UI in the Graphics Menu to make it easier to distinguish between rows.
Updated "Feedback" link in the title screen

QoL Updates:

Automatically select "Wait" action when there is no other action that can be done during battle.
Automatically select the previously used skill during battle.

Balancing:

Increased Esmeralda's guard stats from 1 → 2
Improved Esmeralda's skill Windslash damage from 70 → 80, range from 2 → 3
Reduced Giant Toad's attack damage from 120 → 90
Reduced Gigantis's guard stats from 8 → 5

Alpha Version (Demo) is Out!

You can download the demo for the alpha version now!
This demo will be available for download until the end of February 2024.

The main purpose of this alpha version is to gain feedback regarding the combat mechanics and the quality of the translation. Some features, such as roguelike maps/stages, skill transformations, and character progression, are still not available in this version but will be added later around Q2 2024. However, you should be able to experience the combat mechanics and the story in this version.

Hey I really enjoyed the game and was wondering where I could play it currently? If you could allow for a closed beta playtest or something I'm totally down to play more
